Rival Kingdoms presents an epic quest like none other! The King of Castle City Kingdom has gone missing, many believe him dead or imprisoned within his own Castle City dungeon. The Evil Lord Herobrine has rooted himself within Castle Grayskull where he continues to summon more of his minions to unleash mayhem upon The Valley. A hero must rise and find his(or her) way through the enchanted maze and confront Herorbrine and his legions of minions at Castle Grayskull for a final show down.

When you first enter the maze you find a bookshelf, read the bookshelf for instructions on how to reach your first objective. This journey will bring you through an enchanted maze, which has many deadly traps and puzzles. Sections of the maze will even transform when certain objectives are met. The maze will take you into the sewers and prison systems of Castle City Kingdom, you will need to come prepared to face many different challenges. This quest does in fact require you to kill Lord Herobrine in order to reap the reward....of Herobrine's LEGENDARY DIAMOND SWORD!

(Diamond swords are not otherwise available on our server)

About the creation of this project:

I spent a very long time thinking about how I wanted to do this maze challenge, as a kid I often drew mazes and knew how to make them difficult. I knew early on I wanted this maze to be special, confusing and very challenging, with that said I researched a lot of falsebook IC's and got the kill npc quest working through a trial and error process. The killnpc quest type is current broken with citizens, so I devised a clever work around through various trial and error. Once I had the overall set up planned out in my mind I set out to work on the maze and finishing Castle Gray skull. I would say it took me about a week of casual building to complete the maze, the hard part was just figuring out and deciding which would be the "true path", once I had that done fleshing out the rest was no problem. The redstone for the eyes and tongue on the skull are made with classic redstone and will work on any server/world but may cause lag. (1 lever located just inside the mouth on the right, and the other for the eyes is in the second floor of the skull section of castle.

Additional Details

Note that many features of the maze are reliant on plugins and will not work with the download, but you can still check it out and study it before trying the real thing! :)

Fixed an exploit with "Dark Altar" at the Sewers section of the maze.
