i like the walls as they are, but yeh, a different block and maybe differential blocks would make it look nicer, but all to their own...

In my opinion. Texturepack is a way of changing perspective. If the builder chooses to use the texturepack, The builder built it in that texturepack to make it look good in that texturepack. Not whatever the others use. If they are going to look at it to it's full content, then it would be weird of them not to look at it  in the builder's perspective , then comment about it I think. Default is nice, but some builders perfers to use texturepack they want to use.
