Markarth fascinates by its unique architecture so I thought I could give it a try and rebuild the city. That point is now about 1,5 years ago and still the city is not finished. I stopped working on this project when I realized that the default Minecraft terrain would not do the job. Terraforming is not really something I am interested in so it took me a long time to finally motivate myself and give Worldpainter a try.
I did not put too much time into it and as this is my very first attempt with Worldpaint don't be too critic about it. :) I might rather lay this part into someone elses hands who has more passion for this stuff sometime in the future. For now the terrain is ok I guess, at least the general outline of the mountains is done and I don't have worldedited holes in the map anymore.
The city itself is currently at 75%: Dryside is completely done, Riverside has its general layout done but needs more details.
To finally get to the point where I can offer a download of the project I decided to set the development of the texturepack on hold and instead use Conquest for now. If you are interested in the skyrim textures you might find some of them in older screenshots in the Update Log.
I hope to have the city done and a download ready with the next update (which will most probably take a few months again).
