Nice. Try making things a bit less regular; build the houses offset to one another by a block or two, for instance; it makes things look more real. Also, mix up some of the stone blocks; not only does this affect the look of patchwork repairs but it breaks up the monotonous and flat single-texture look. Oh, and you need a well, or everybody's gonna get real thirsty (I admit it, I got a hang-up about people not adding wells to their medieval builds).

Those are good points. I thought about the well issue before, but never thought about the technique of breaking up stone blocks with others to create the look of patch ups and repairs. It's a nice idea.
