Not too much, got the idea and searched a few images online. Then, got to work. Mostly used my imagination so I'm sure if you got a scientist on the case they could pick the accuracy pretty quick.

Probably used some basic equations to create dilating a ellipsoid for the red blood cells and some other basic equations for the blue and yellow thingies, but i have no idea how he did the white blood cells...

Not complaining, (I could not do that in a million years) just analyzing. Also... AWESOME!!!

I just looked at a few images on Google and then started the project, I didn't refer to the images after I started building. I thought maybe the blue things were O2 but, a biologist on Reddit told me otherwise xD

Thanks! Speaking of which...I actually recently converted that whole tutorial into a worldedit craftscript that can do the whole process in seconds now! It actually turned out really cool, I plan on releasing the scripts and another video showing how to use it soon.
