Dang! This must have taken months to create! The build quality is unreal, and the screenshots look great. Almost too good.... did you use a mod or something to take those? or just a texture pack effect? Also, what texture pack did you use for this? I shall be building something like this, and will be sure to give you inspiration credit.

Looks good.
I especially like the castle/town; it's very compact and looks like it's a real strong fortress.
But (unfortunately there has to be a but) I miss some exterior.
Some crates, building materials, lanterns...
There are many possibilities to make something look more lively, give it a try :)

Thanks especially for the criticism, its worth much more than anything else. When i'm really into the area i'm working on, or in survival mode, I do try and add more of the fluff. In the small farm picture, there are furs hanging, kegs and containers, a garden, and if I had zoomed in closer there are NPC's, carts, and a horse. I had built that farm in survival mode. Sometimes when i'm building on a larger scale, and am focusing more on the world and the way everything connects to each other, I forget the details. I'll go back and add them, thanks for the reminder. If you have any ideas for "fluff," how to build things with the blocks minecraft gives me, i'd love to hear them

Well, I use staples of building materials (some wooden logs, planks, iron.. etc), make some houses which aren't finished yet and put some framework around them, make simple market places, put a small livestock watering in front of a farm house, build some simple lanterns, if it matches, I put garlands between two houses...
Even using different undergrounds, not just one or two, can make a town more lively :)
At the moment, I'm working on an exterior bundle to inspire people for building their own exterior :)

i've updated Leith Mill with some livelier going-ons, is that more to your liking?

the power of mods seems to be surprising :)
That's just what I meant, just with mods :P

i've less sarcastically worked on your suggestion this morning, there are now detailed sheep farms that lead to a weaver and cloth maker, which than lead back to a market. all with smaller details and fluff. i'd like to see your exteriors project when its released for ideas, as well

The weaver and the cloth maker are indeed very nice...
It'll be hard to do something that approachs them without mods^^
