Took me a looong time to finish this, likely to be my biggest project evar! I've seen a few oil rigs, but none of them are to my liking and some of them are ... bad. So I decided to make my own, and seeing that algia got an award for his I thought that I could do waay betterer. I made it all by myself, no help.
Its actually a lava drilling rig, has two pipes one with lava and other with water, to cool the lava in the main reactor room thingy. It contains a boat dock, the main reactor, moving pistons (kinda like  a pump), oil (lava) containers, helicopter pad, office, beds, freezer, nice crane (I'm proud of it :D) and even a nicehouse on the top floor just reserved for you. Enjoy, hopefully nothing will catch on fire.

Remember, please comment about anything (e.g. I like that dirt block, it makes me happy)

For some reason in the new minecraft, I dont think redstone can be placed on glowstone. This makes all the redstone circuitry on the machine fail. Will fix this technical issue somehow.

For some strange reason redstone now cannot be placed on glowstone and the circuit is stuffed up. I will fix this problem...

Also i'm currently working on like a cargo or oil storage ship the will be placed next to the oil rig. I might even expand the world save into an industrial place if I have the time. Be patient, I'm extremely busy (lazy) and will add some pics

one suggestion: re-upload the oil rig with all the machines TURNED OFF.
took me a while to find what was lagging me... that piston crushing machine is a killer.

You could have the mining machine dig out a hole, and use a piston to switch it out with a pump, and suck oil out of a deposite and store it in tanks

-Think about it people have existed for thousands of years without oil but never without water! Soon the oil companies will pollute all the water!

Ever wonder how a 500mL bottle of water costs 2 bucks and a litre of gas only a buck and a half???

texture pack is Misa 64x64, its a nice texture pack.
