The MS Fryken is a freighter from Kristinehamn, Sweden, built in 1938. It is now a museum ship at the Maritiman maritime museum in Gothenburg, Sweden.
1938 - Built in Aalborg Værft, Aalborg, Denmark for Ångbåts AB Ferm (in Kristinehamn.)
1939-41 - The Fryken was used to carry freight from northern Sweden to Germany.
1941 - The vessel was laid up in Stockholm until the end of WWII in 1945.
1946-61 - The ship served the North Sea route.
1961 - It was sold to Finland.
1986 - The Fryken was purchased by Maritiman and returned to Gothenburg, Sweden.
