M O D E R N C I T Y P R O J E C T
Overview:
The City project began on the 6th March 2012.
The City released it's download to the world on the 5th October 2012.
This City was built on completely VANILLA terms. NO MCedit. Literally Block by Block! How did we clear land? TNT and perseverance! (Yeah seriously, Block by Block).
Our City is mostly based on Architecture ranging from cities such as; London, New York, Paris, Shanghai and many more.
Our selection of buildings range from Gothic and Old architecture such as St.Pauls Cathedral (London), too the more modern skyscraper, such as the Chrysler Building (New York City).
The project is on going, and does not have a specific deadline, or finishing point. So the city will just get larger and larger.
Every week large buildings or building projects are being added to the city.

- Rosavia City Underground Network. (Metro/Subway/Lightrail etc). A Plan for 3 fully operational lines reaching the City's metropolitan areas. [Under Construction]
- Rosavia City International Airport. This will be connected by a bridge, and the Underground metro network. [Under Construction]
- Museum and Imperial district. A district dedicated to Euro-Imperialist architecture. [Under Construction]
- Cargo Port. A large Port development, for large cargo ships and containers. Modern Industrial area. [Confirmed for Construction]
- Convention Centre - A large convention centre providing space for concerts, boxing, etc etc. Might actually be used for some sort of Convention near the future. [Confirmed for Construction]

Rosavia City - Building News: : 03/18/2013 6:34:58 pm3/18/13
Today I have continued in building the new modern skyscraper in Miller Island. A deal has been made that the tower will be the HQ to the new PMC newspaper - "The PMC Times", by Malik and his team. The tower will look glorious and to a certain degree stand out from its surroundings.
More updates on this wonderful design will be coming soon.

Rosavia City - Building News: : 03/13/2013 6:06:14 pm3/13/13
I have begun the first project in the City since the release of Version 5.0. It will be a Modern Skyscraper in Miller Island. The most modern building in the whole of the City thus adding a new abstract design or theme to the City. It will also near completion of Miller Island itself, thus completely finishing Rosavia City's main financial district.
The only thing left to do after the skyscraper is done, is to build a 'overground' metro line going through the island and on the mainland and so on. (Although there is already a Miller Island Underground Station), but the idea is to connect the both thus creating an Interchange station, much like Canary Wharf in London with the interchange of the Underground and DLR.

Rosavia City - Version 5.0: : 03/11/2013 10:02:27 am3/11/13
The latest version of Rosavia City has arrived! The file is quite large now due to the amount of builds.
It is hard to try and be specific on what is new in the City, due to it being 2 months since the previous version meaning that there is so many new features.
The latest editions to the City are:
- Many new skyscrapers, ranging from Art Deco to modern.
- New gardens and public areas.
- Many new roads that are outlining the City's future development.
- Some interiors have been updated or even added.
- Minor Edits to some buildings - i.e. colours or large signs atop buildings.
- The Anniversary Tower - Our most publicised tower is in the new update.

THE TOWER IS COMPLETE!
The tower is complete, it looks beautiful. Absolutely stunning, and it dominates the Rosavia Skyline. Currently, our good friend Joeking from OverlyBritishGaming is rendering the new screenshots for our launch tomorrow. Without Joeking the City would not be where it is today - but I will write a proper thank you tomorrow in the project page.
I will be doing some last minute touch-ups and then tomorrow EVENING, the tower will be launched as a 1-year Anniversary special with high hopes it will hit the popular reel.
I cannot wait to see it finished, and I am so pleased that this tower was finished in 6 days - Block by Block.

Rosavia City - Anniversary Tower: : 03/04/2013 1:22:02 pm3/04/13
The Tower has reached the vertical limit and the external's to the tower are pretty much complete. We are now flooring, and then adding lights. Once this is complete, the surrounding area of the tower will be decorated with Gardens and plaza's, The complex will be beautiful.
Tonight will be when we will get a LOT of work done, hopefully the tower will be finished by Wednesday, the day of the Anniversary. The tower is really looking BEAUTIFUL and so great and powerful. A real landmark. I cannot wait for everyone to see this wonderful, team-built design.

Rosavia City - Anniversary Tower: : 03/01/2013 9:04:19 am3/01/13
Yesterday Callum668 and captainpnut made tremendous development on the tower, creating about 7 floors (there abouts). In the evening myself and captainpnut did more work on the exterior to the tower.
The buildings exterior is nearing its completed height - which will infact be the vertical limit.
Hopefully the tower will be finished by this Wednesday (6th March), when it will be the anniversary of Rosavia City.
Tonight we plan on doing more floors, and finishing of the exterior. The next step is the complex itself - i.e. the gardens etc etc. I believe the biggest challenge will be the Flooring, but with workers like captainpnut, renise and Callum668, we should be able to finish in time.

Rosavia City - Anniversary Tower: : 02/28/2013 3:53:32 am2/28/13
Last night, myself, Callum668, renise, and captainpnut broke ground on the Anniversary Tower.
A LOT go done. The design looks amazing and completion should come in time for the Anniversary itself.
Throughout the next few weeks the team and I should be working hard to get this project and complex finished for the 6th March.

The one year Anniversary of Rosavia City is coming up! To celebrate myself and the team will be building an iconic Skyscraper, which will be the tallest in the city. Hopefully there will be a video showing the construction, and the amount of hard work put in!
The tower will have a beautiful modern design with a diamond/hexagon pattern. The tower will be sleek and very tall finishing with a mast.
Construction will start tomorrow. (27/02/13).

Myself and Callum668 have completed a brand new Art Deco skyscraper in the City Centre. It is stunningly beautiful and suits it's environment well. It will function as the "Transport for Rosavia HQ" - serving as the Headquarters of the Rosavia Underground Network and other City public transport.
The tower is designed with a stunning New York 1920's style in mind. Thanks again, and a big shout out to Callum668 for helping out on this one!
Next on the agenda will be some more NYC style apartment and shop building in this ever growing mini-manhattan project we are working on.

We have begun work on many new projects:
- Convention Centre: We have started a the construction of a convention centre in the Central/West part of the City.
- Hotels: Pureboredem has begun work on finishing his hotels, the reason for his delay is because he has been revising for exams.
- Completely finished the Hotel near Remembrance Square. Looks fantastic.
- On the same block where the hotel and another financial building has been constructed, I have built a few New York style apartments and cafe's. It looks beautiful. That part of the City will definitely have a New Yorker/Chicago feel to it.
- Manual Terraforming: We have also begun clearing a massive jungle near the east/centre part of the City. We will be laying neighbourhood blocks there ready for construction.

Quick Update:
- Begun work on a new Arena/Convention Centre in the west of the City.
- Working on an idea of making a City newspaper - will be posted as a weekly blog.

- Planning the workings of the next Underground Line. Once this is complete I will be designing a Rosavia City Underground Map!

The following updates are mixed from Physical work on the City, and work on the page and the City infrastructure.
Work on the Page:
- Deleted the Royal Squid Society emblem due to myself resigning from the Society. Nothing personal, it was just done on my terms.
- Edited the layout of the description slightly.
- Edited the text in the description.
Physical Work on the City:
- Nearly finished a new beautiful art deco skyscraper near the Remembrance Square. It will be finished before the new Version Release.
- Building demolished by pureboredem near Remembrance square - to be replaced by a cafe/row of shops.
- Organizing the 1 Year Anniversary event celebrating 1 Year of Rosavia City. This will be a big firework display held in Remembrance Square.
We also need new Rendered Screenshots of the City. Open to any help.

Sorry for the lack of progress on the project. Many of our builders, including myself, were busy during the last few weeks and took a break from PMC, and The city project. However, we have had our break, and construction has commenced again.
I have begun work on a new art-deco style hotel in the City Centre. Whilst other members such as pureboredem and N_Eliminator are continuing construction on their projects.
A new update of the City will be available by next week - promise.
The City is also planning celebrations for the 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the founding of Rosavia. More info about this topic will be publicised in the future.

These are the new updates, we did not feel that the City should have a new download until next week. So until then, this is what we are working on:
- Demolished the Shard tower - Which has been developed into a beautiful new public square.
- Construction of a new art deco hotel area. Being built by pureboredem, they will add a beautiful new part of the city.
- Rosavia City International Airport has made significant progress, thanks to N_Eliminator.
- Queens Cross Opera house opposite the new Queens Cross Square.
- Major development of Rosavia Castle in the Old Town borough. This will be the pinnacle of the older medieval development.
- Many new small additions such as roads, planning and little details.

Rosavia City - Urgent News Update: : 12/10/2012 12:01:53 pm12/10/12
The tallest building in Rosavia City; the Shard has been attacked.
The damage was so bad that we have decided to demolish it. Demolition has already begun.
Who done it? - We are not sure. We believe it may have been an attack from someone who found that the server was not whitelisted, and i believe the server was temporarily put on the "public viewing" bit of Clanforge.
So for now, our efforts will be on demolition of the Shard, and making a new public square where it was. This will commemorate the tower, and our momentary lack of security.

The Building News:
The City is really busy at this moment in time. Various construction projects have taken place. They are as follow:Under Construction:
- Rosavia International Airport [35% Complete]
- Art Deco style Hotel's, built in the centre of the city, but near the northern Coast of the central island. They Blend in well with the Art Deco theme surrounding the area. [40% Complete]
- Rosavia City; Queens Cross Royal Opera House. This will house the City's famous Opera's and will also play host to some events, such as award ceremonies and shows. [35% Complete]
- Rosavia Castle and old town. A massive Medieval Castle being built in the North East of the City. "Old Town" will be designated as a City Borough. [10% Complete]

The Latest Version of Rosavia City has landed!
Additional features:
- Significant progress and construction made in the Miller Island Financial District. These new features include:
- 3 Brand new Skyscrapers. All of which are designed to look similar to the skyscrapers in Canary Wharf Financial District in London. Each skyscraper is floored.
- A New park in the centre of Miller Island. Along with benches, romantic paths and great scenery of the Skyscrapers in Miller Island.
- New restaurant at the south coast of the Island. This is to provide a place where all the rich bankers can spend all of their money after work. - Very nice.
- Expansion of the Island by one block. [Block of land. Not a block]
- Planning of a replica skyscraper of the Beetham Tower in Manchester, England.
- Construction has began in North Rosavia of the old town district. The main feature of this district will be the City Castle, being constructed by mastco, and renise. This will surely be a City Landmark.
Planning:
- A new Underground Line running from Central Rosavia to the new Old Town.
- Another new Underground Line running from Central Rosaiva to the Airport.
- Residential District now planned in the West of the City. Mostly made of tower blocks and apartments. Will still be considered 'inner city'.
- Destroy the National Rail Line from Queens Cross Rosavia to George Town. This will thus retire Queens Cross Rail Station from work. It has served the City well.

Hey guys! Just a quick building and team update. Myself and pureboredem have completed two new major skyscraper projects! My project has been built in the newly expanded Miller Island Financial District, whereas pureboredem's has been constructed in the City centre, near the Shard and Royal Park.
More development has been made on the airport aswell! Thanks to N_Eliminator!
Also, I wanted to thank our newest team member; renise. This player helped me massively on the latest skyscraper in Miller Island. She also helped a great deal in the construction of the Central Line of the Underground. Thank You renise, and welcome!
A new update of the City should ideally be coming by the end of this week, or the start of next week.

The latest version of Rosavia City has come!
The Latest Version includes:
- A fully functional Underground Line. It is named the 'Central Line'. It serves 5 stations around Central Rosavia.
- Flattened much land, and built some more stuff in the imperial district.
- Further developed the centre of the city, with additional high rise.
- Significant progress made in the airport, which is about 35% complete.
- Expansion of Miller Island, the designated financial district.
- Many new details added.
