History
The Scourx-class was developed by Pauqaluo Heavy Industries as the successor to the Saetor-class, a low cost defense fighter for private militias and corporations with facilities that need non-static defenses. The Scourx project began several decades after production of the Saetor was concluded, after seeing interest from previous customers and other sources about a similar ship but with improved capabilities. Management approved the project in the year 48,431 ACT and assembled a design team composed of members from the discontinued Uced DNIS drone and Teva M502 interceptor projects, alongside other Pauqaluo employees. Structures design work was outsourced to HESSAT, known for engineering contract work, to free up the Pauqaluo team to work on mission systems and other critical technologies related to the Scourx-class. Systems integration for the first flight-ready prototypes was completed in 48,436 ACT, with a two year testing phase following. The Scourx-class performed well during simulated combat, easily outmaneuvering its predecessor the Saetor-class in close combat and leveraging a larger and more capable sensor network to track other small ships. Some issues did arise with deformation of structural elements on the wings after prolonged firing of the fighter's laser cannons. Some additional reinforcement was introduced behind the weapon mounts, changing the wing shape from an L to a staircase. Additionally, it took some time to reduce thermal damage in the Scourx's Tayger V521/75b ion thruster, which would occur when the thruster operated above 70% thrust and vectoring close to the 41.5 degree angling limit. These engineering challenges were resolved over the final four years of development, as the design was transformed from a prototype design to a full production model.
The Scourx was debuted at the Bestani Codanha early in 48,448 ACT, a major showcase of various spacecraft from shipbuilding companies held on the Tuan System Shipyard. The fighter received a fair amount of praise from test pilots and potential customers, with attention given to its maneuverability and good handling in atmosphere. When the Scourx-class became available for purchase later in the year, Pauqaluo made over 10,000 sales in the first year alone, with well over 100,000 units being sold over the Scourx's six year production run. Pauqaluo would cease production in 48,448 ACT when sales declined significantly, as while the Scourx was an excellent short-range defense fighter, the customer base for that type of strike craft was limited.

Should technically be "predecessor" since the word is referring to the Saetor :3
What I AM, is on an extended break/hiatus. I don't want to force myself to produce builds, so I have been on a break as I wait for my drive to return, sort of like writer's block. I have a dozen projects under construction at this moment, including something truly massive, but I can't bring myself to finish and release them.
If all goes well, you should see a lot of fresh content around mid August. I have a two week trip coming up soon, and after that I'm going to get back on track. So look forward to that.
