Hey MrFruitTree, I love your builds! You see, I'm a modern builder like yourself, but I always come across one problem in my builds. That is, Ice melting because of light sources. How do you light your building so well? Thanks, GhillieStorm

The trick is to place light sources just far enough away from the ice so that it does not melt. You can check out some of the images of ice melting patterns on this page: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Ice. Also, looking at the way I place lights in relation to ice in my builds will help :)

The sun doesn't melt ice in Minecraft, only light sources such as torches, glowstone, and fire can. Also, snow blocks do not melt. So I'm not sure what you mean lol

I spent a lot of time trying to place the lights in a way that wouldn't make it melt. I had to place them as far away as possible while still lighting up the room, trust me, it wasn't easy :P

I think you can't put any type of item giving out light near it, like glowstone and torches, I might be wrong, please correct me if I am wrong.
