The Soratiah-class was a heavy strike craft manufactured by Qi'natc Starship Productions for the Roccho Republic Navy. Developed for a procurement contract by the navy for a long-range escort fighter able to support other strike craft and fleet units away from supply lines, the Soratiah-class was the largest strike craft in the Roccho Navy for the entirety of its production, and would be utilized in moderate quantities during the Astachez Civil War to support task forces pushing into the Astachez Federation territories. The Soratiah-class was constructed for durability above all else, with the navy expressing interest in a strike craft able to operate after taking significant damage, as replacement components and repair equipment would likely not be available immediately when the Soratiah was on the types of missions it was designed for. The craft was thus engineered with many duplicate systems, as well as sufficient storage space for forty days of supplies if pilots were shot down over a planet. To facilitate its escort and strike duties, the Soratiah-class was equipped with powerful SYTNET and NETSPACE transceivers, as well as a small RISNET transmitter which could be powered for several consecutive hours if necessary for communications that crossed regional borders. The Soratiah-class also carried a large number of sensor systems, which enabled the fighter to act as an information hub for other strike craft and provide capital ships with even more tactical data during combat and reconnaissance. The Soratiah-class would cease production a little over twenty years after the conclusion of the Astachez Civil War, with the military not needing any more of the fighter as the Phosiorate-class interceptor was more than capable of typical police work and light combat.
