Game guide

The game's not out yet. But this guide can really help you out!

Weapons

Splattershot: The Splattershot is known for its ease of handling and high potential. The included Burst Bombs are great for both attack and defense, and the Bomb Rush Special Attack makes it a great choice for any situation. This all-around weapon is made for anyone who desires balance in battle.

Splat Charger: The Splat Charger is for long-range offense. Hold right-click to charge up, then release to fire it out! The Point Sensor and Echolocator Special Attack can help you track enemies, allowing your team to ace the enemy teams! This set is meant for those who are aggressive and focus on taking down enemies!

Krak-On Roller: The Krak-On Roller is useful for melee combat and inking turf. Equip your Roller by picking slot 1 in your hotbar and ink turf as you run! Throw the devastating Splat Bomb to instantly kill nearby enemies, and unleash the Kraken Special Attack to get even more turf in! Highly recommended if you struggle with Turf War.

Splat Dualies: The Splat Dualies is an advanced version of the Splattershot. You shoot double paintballs, but you also use up double ink. Throw a Disruptor to slow down enemies, and protect your allies with the Bubbler Special Attack! This is a loadout intended for supporters.

Gamemodes

Turf War: The classic gamemode. In this gamemode, the four teams fight for the most turf. Walls don't count. The team with the most turf wins!

Splat Zones: In this gamemode, the four teams attempt to claim the Zone, which is located in the middle of the arena. Claim the Zone by inking it! When your team has the Zone, your timer will tick down, which starts at 100. If your timer hits 0, your team wins! If no team has depleted their timer within the time limit, the team that has depleted their timer the most wins.

Deathmatch: In this gamemode, the four teams clash against each other for the most kills. The team with the most kills wins!

Balloon Battle: In this gamemode, the four teams hunt down balloons and pop them by shooting them. Popping a balloon scores one point for your team, but dying takes away two points. If all balloons pop, they respawn, in new areas. team with the most points wins!

Flag Thief: In this gamemode, the four teams compete for the Flag, which is located in the center. Touch the flag to pick it up. When you have the flag, you score one point for each second passed. If you kill the flag holder, they'll drop it. The team with the most points wins!

Maps:

Splat Field [NORMAL]: This is the standard map. The spawns are inside the walls. Outside of the spawns are pathways. At the middle pathway, you can get to the center where there are four corner walls and a sniping tower. At the side pathways are grates you can slip through via squid form. But don't fall in, because there's a gap full of water. The water can kill you. Normally meant for those who have played for the first time.

Ink Towers [EASY]: In this map, there are no water pools. The spawns are inside the arena, on stone brick towers. The arena is divided into four quarters, and each quarter belongs to one team. Each quarter is completely flat, and there is a tower in each quarter. In the middle of the arena is an even bigger tower, which is accessed via grates. You can swim up the towers with squid form. The quarters are also accessible with grates.

Urchin Reef [HARD]: Meant for those who are really careful and don't fall easily. In this map, water floods the arena, and the water can kill you. There are pathways that lead to the center, the only place that is not flooded. There are no walls for defense, so only those who can really dodge attacks can master this.

Deep Valley [NORMAL]: Just like Ink Towers, there are no water pools. There are four platforms in the center that can be climbed to a second floor. The players can get to the other platforms via bridges. If the players climb up again, they can get to a third floor, and a tower is accessible. Just like the second floor, the platforms are accessible with bridges.

Commentary

My Minecraft privileges have been taken away. It might be a year until I get back. I hope you all await my return!

Incoming Updates

Version 2.0 will come out later. Here's what I have planned.

Weapon Changes
I plan to fix issues that I didn't consider in Version 1.0. The issues fixed are:

- For all weapons, shots despawn after traveling 6 blocks.
- The only exception to this is the Splat Charger, whose despawn distance depends on how far you pull.
- Point Sensor's tracking duration is too small, and is doubled to 8 seconds.

New Weapons
Six new weapons. The weapons from Version 1.0 are now known as "Classic" items. (e.g. Classic Splattershot, Classic Charger, etc.)

Splattershot: This is another version of the Splattershot. It has a new loadout, which is the Splat Bomb and Inkjet Special Attack! Use this loadout to take down enemies who keep their distance.

Splat Charger: A variant of the Splat Charger. The new loadout is Autobomb and the Killer Wail Special Attack! Use this killing set well and leave your team the only team standing!

Krak-On Roller: The second Roller in the game. Drop a Squid Beakon while nobody's looking to gather your teammates and gather your strength! Use the Tenta Missiles Special Attack to take down any enemies within your sight. Meant for those who rally their team.

Splat Dualies: Another set of Dualies, this new set comes with the Curling Bomb and the Inkjet Special Attack. For killing, up close and far away!

Inkbrush Nouveau: This Roller sub-class weapon allows you to run quickly while brushing the ground with ink. Drop an Ink Mine to blast incoming enemies, and use the Bubbler Special Attack to protect your allies!

Blaster: A Shooter sub-class weapon, which fires bullets of ink that explode in mid-air. Enemies might get caught in the blast, but land a direct hit, and BOOM! Mess with enemies using the Disruptor, and let them have it with the Splashdown Special Attack!

Map Changes
Version 1.0's maps were too small. All maps will be re-done, fitting the size for eight players.

New Map
Moatyard [HARD]: The map is split into nine islands, each connected by bridges. There are two levels on the arena.

Retro Maps
Two maps from both Splatoon 1 and 2 return, but only support two teams, to relive the classic gameplay of the original games.

Wii U Urchin Underpass
Wii U Walleye Warehouse
Switch The Reef
Switch Inkblot Art Academy

New Mode
Base Defense: Guard your flag while bringing down the enemy teams' flags. If your flag is completely down, you cannot respawn. Last team standing wins.

Abilities
Most abilities from Splatoon 2 return, along with some new ones. Some abilities are changed. You can equip up to four.

Rampage: For each kill, get a boost for 4s. Kill again during that time for an extra 2s. (UNIQUE)
Last Trick: 25% chance to leave a Splat Bomb when you die. (UNIQUE)
Vampire: For each kill, regain 3 HP. (UNIQUE)
Score Rate Up: Gain double points for your team as long as you're alive. (UNIQUE)

Other things may be added! Stay fresh!

Important news.

I am dissatisfied how this went, so I will be re-doing this entirely. The map will be completely revamped, so expect a new submission sometime.

I hope you guys have the patience. I can't make anything else for you while you wait because my privileges have been taken away. I might return after my current school year, so keep your hope! To make up for this, I'm going to start a massive update!

I have just received a status report from my helper, and he says that he called off the project until 1.13 is released. It will break ALL command blocks, so he'll have to start over. I hope you have the patience.

I keep it at 50% because I don't know how far my helper has gone into development. It will be 100% when he's completely done.
