Hello,
this is the SS City of Sofia, the largest Sunshine Line (Now SC Sunshine Cruises) ship ever built, 400+ blocks long (289 in 1:1/real life metres) which keel was laid in 1913, but due to World War One, cancelled, and once partially finished in 1915 used as a troop carrier. After hostilities cancelled, she was completed in 1925 and ready to go in service with the VK (Vasil Kolesnikov) Bulgarian Shipping, but soon VK was bought by Sunshine Line, automatically transferring City of Sofia into the SC fleet. She was one of the extremely few ships who sailed almost fully loaded at the times of the Great Depression, but scarcity of resources and money led to her being commissioned as a troop ship, to operate in WWII 5 years later. In 1946, she resumed passenger service, recieving a refit in 1956 due to Sunshine Line rebranding (and renaming - Sunshine Cruises), the refit included removal of the wartime gray and adding the new Sunshine scheme, which only change was the black hull replaced by a gray one, it also included refurbishment of most interiors and new engines. However this did not make CoS a long-lived ship. After many accidents, including a grounding, fires, and electrical problems, this beloved, luxorious and reliable good old lady was finally retired in 1971, being 58 years old at the time. As of 2016, what left of her stays anchored near Bourgas shipyards, awaiting its fate.
NOTE: The story, and the ship are fictional, credit to my mind for it.
Enjoy, give diamonds and subscribe to me and Submarinebuilder.
