Hello Planet Minecraft !
Yesterday I decided to do a small island in the world edit for fun,and I thought I was going to make you enjoy the technique I use. I'll let you follow this little tutorial and hope you find it useful!

I have made a new picture !
Commands you will need :
/brush sphere gravel 4.
/brush sphere grass 3. ---> /mask 1.
/brush smooth 4.
//replace gravel 0.
//set gravel.
/fixwater.
//replace water sand.
/tree bigtree.
First, find a little flat island, like it.
Next, use a gravel brush (5x5) and make some mountains (it should not be very nice...)
Replace all blocs of gravel with stone, and brush a little mountains with a smooth brush.
Create a big gravel cube over mountains (thickness 2 blocs). It could lag a lot because gravel is going to fall on mountains.
You should have this now.
Wait a minute and delete gravel what is in the sea and on the beach.
Next, replace gravel with grass.
Now, you can add some trees on mountains.
Then, add water and snow if you want.
Part 2 :
Use a stone brush (4x4) and make a little bridge like it. Brush with a stone mask.
Now, take a grass brush (3x3) with stone mask and paint it like it.
Now, you can add trees.
Part 3 :
Delimit the area to enhance and then make a fixwater inside thereof.
Replace water with sand.

How to make a great Tropical Island
First, find a little flat island, like it.
Next, use a gravel brush (5x5) and make some mountains (it should not be very nice...)

How to create Natural Arch
Use a stone brush (4x4) and make a little bridge like it. Brush with a stone mask.

Add a little Relief
Delimit the area to enhance and then make a fixwater inside thereof.
Replace water with sand.
And this is finished ! Now, you know how to make a nice Tropical Island !
