Welcome to The Barrow. An Adventure map that takes place in Skyrim! All this was created by one person, me, over the course of probably a year. (I slacked a lot, that's why it took so long) I love Skyrim, and I love building things in Minecraft, so why not combine these two elements into a decent adventure map? My testers called it 'decent', I hope that you feel the same.
The map covers a relatively small area, enough to include Helgen, Falkreath and 'Roadside Ruins'. I also managed to squeeze in the famously known Embershard Mine, even though it's not supposed to be there. (it's something like an icon, it's safe to say that every Skyrim player entered that mine). I did have to close in the map with mountains, so that players won't get lost, so it's not an exact replica, but some things are. the map is to be played in version 1.8.4
You don't need to have played Skyrim to enjoy this map. 2 of my testers never even heared of Skyrim, and they were like 'yeah, nice map', that must count for something. It's also important to point out that the strongest weapon in the game is not implemented in the story, but it's hidden in the world. Can you find it?
There are 2 files. The World file, and the resource pack you're supposed to use. Follow these steps to 'install' the map and start playing:
Download link can be found on top of this page, it takes you to the original forum post.
1) Locate your Minecraft File. in your file search bar, type %appdata% to acces the Roaming file. This is where the .Minecraft file is located. Open that file.
2) Drag 'The Barrow World File' to your 'Saves' folder within the .Minecraft file.
3) Drag 'Moray Winter resourcepack' to the 'resourcepack' folder within the .Minecraft file
4) Launch Minecraft in version 1.8.4 and enable the resource pack from your options.
You're ready to play!
I may have done all the building on my own, but that doesn't mean I didn't got any help. So I'd like to give thanks to:
Esmirff for creating this awesome texturepack/resource pack. if you like the textures from the map, please download his texturepack here and leave a diamond for him. I know I did
My team of emergency testers: Swag (sorry I don't know your real name), Daeron The Guardian (if you want your real name here, tell me your real name), Cheatercat and last but really not least: Robin! love you mate.
I also learned a lot of redstone stuff from Dragnoz channel. Link here. thank you too. if you want to see redstone wired completely wrong, break open the maze. That was a nightmare....
Also many thanks to JerenVids for making the video (it's on the original forum post)
If you find a bug, please let me know! Enjoy the map and tell me what you think of it in the comments/reply section. (please don't butcher me, I love building)
