Hello all Minecraft astronauts! I come in peace!

I have just started my biggest project: The Moon Project. I am trying to recreate the surface of the moon using WorldPainter. So far, the world is 1000x1000 meters across and will be updated to hold more and more lunar ideas!

The map will include:
-Moon sand landscape at level 150. DONE
-Frozen lunar lakes. DONE
-Underground caverns DONE
-All the ores DONE sorta....
-The dark side...
-Some sweet easter eggs :P 
-And more!!!

Now the project isn't complete: I'm still working out some terrain issues, but it should be available very soon! So get ready astronauts!

To make this map look even more amazing, try my texture packs! :)

Oh and please give Diamonds if you like! It helps get me going and give it publicity. :) also check out my space texture packs... ;)

Use optifine to perfect the effect: Turn sun and moon off, turn the sky off, and in details make it always night. There you go, you're on the moon

What I don't understand in the texture pack is why the moon changes planets all the way from the death star to saturn.  That would mean that the moon or whatever planet you're on is changing its location very rapidly and jumping from planet to planet. That doesn't make sense.

I think it could've been easier to cover a such large area by making a simple mod that makes the world generate differently. After that, yo can easily upload a huge moon land. Besides, it's pretty finished now, but it would be a smart thing to do next time(if any).

i just made a giant crater like huge with a nuke its awsome iam still working on making it all sand and stuff iam adding alot more buildings and adding some tweeks to your main structure i hope to post it for you and let you explor it all i going to work really hard on this map so far its the funnest ever!! ive made walk ways and iam using team fortress 2 turrets to keep the base safe from alieans :P i just made a missile silo base and in the hangar i made a bunch of lunar landers

i really love your project i am working on adding some more stuff to it and make it more facility and  i am adding some team fortress 2 turrets all around to protect it from aliens :o also  i am going to erect a statue in your name:P in the new museum i am thinking also to adding more ships for take off and i wish to share all my new stuff but thank you so much for making this map for us to all explor its so amazingly awosme if i could id give you infinite amount of diamonds
