After 8 months of work, thanks to plans, photos, videos and the movie "The Rock", the famous "Alcatraz Island" is now on Minecraft!
No, this is not a reproduction of the Call of Duty map, Alcatraz Island exists in real life and we created this map way before the release of Activision's game.
You're free to use this map for your server and videos as long you give us credits somewhere (a link to this page is also recommended). You can also modify the map for the needs of your servers, please let us now in comment or private message.
We did a 1960 edition of the island for an use on public servers: http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/alcatraz-island---1960-edition/

* All doors get replaced with the new door types
* Added "Read me" and "Easter Eggs" books in the spawn building. Credits signs have been updated as well
* Some pressure plates used to decorate furnitures have been replaced by carpets
* Fixed a spawn issue where the player was appearing at the wrong place
* Fixed a bug related to sandstone slabs disapearing in newest game versions
* Fixed a lighting bug in the isolation cells of the block D
* Added a redstone system in the shower room, to open the trapdoors on the floor when you come from the underground tunnel ("The Rock" movie reference)
