This project has been redacted by myself,
I will still keep this map online, due to the reason that maybe other people come across this and still want to download this.

Greetings
SimplySteak

PS: Project RIDDLE is go

So yeah this is my first landscaping map.
It's for the map I'm creating, called The Tales from Les'Daar.
To, well, scale the picture: from the middle of the map it's arround 3200~ to each side to reach the end.
Yeah It's big.

I'd ask you kindly to not use this map for your own builds. This map will be use for the map I'm making and so belongs to me. You can contact to see if we could manage something, but the map is off-limits to people who want to build their own adventure map or any other kind of map. (Sorry if I sound rude, but I worked verry hard in this map)

Updated frequently, but uploaded a bit less. The zipped file is arround 300mb big. The map unzipped is arround 1.32Gb. Yes this world is insanly big, do remind that this is ONLY the terrain, and not the adventure map. The main map, nether, and end dimensions are for you guys to explore. The two other small regions are for eventual spawn, command block room and dungeons.

Yes I'm planning on making the dungeons in a different area. The main reason for this is that the water level is on 42, in a normal minecraft map it would be 62. Although this is, only, a 20 block difference, it might not be enough to allow latge dungeons to be made. Personally I find it better when I can work in open air. I must say that this may give the effect that the world isn't loading. That's why, and yes I can see you just shouting out in the comments at me, adding a sort of loading screen. This will ONLY be when entering dungeons. This will allow your computer to first load all the chunks and not lag the gale while going through the dungeon, which might cause sudden death. Sorry for this, but I think this is better for the overall game, sorry.

If you find a glitch/bug please do report to through a private message here, or on twitter. I'll be able more quickly to remove them from the world.

For the custom trees, I used the native trees of europe template repository by lentebriesje. I tried to make the trees myself, but it was just to grave of a task, maybe in the future I may edit to selfmade tree schematics, but for now, this will do.

For now there are 6 large three-biomes, each of these have arround 4-6 tree-types. For the blank map I'll just do the large patches, the smaller I must build by hand, world painter doesn't go to a really defined detail sometimes. Sorry about that though, so the picture you see above with the random colours, that's the tree-biome map, this is where the different forests are. The lonely trees will be put in by hand on the actual adventure map.

The blank map is now fully made, if yu see any bugs/gltiches/or just things that are wrong: please contact me, it'll sure help.

Hope you enjoy

Btw, if you want to show the map on youtube in a video, plz contact me first.

Well, I'm sad to say this, I'm returning to the drawing board for this map and the adventure map attached to it ...

I'm doing this for the main reason that I started planning the world and found out I need a 1.75 times larger world for it . Sadly this will cause that the present map will be deleted, as it has no reason anymore ...

yeah ... it kinda is a rather large file. Currently it's going to 1.50Gb (unzipped) yeah it's large.

A reminders: this is the blank map, no buildings are on it. The only thing that this map is terrain and trees

There are plenty of custom tree packs here on PMC that people have shared that you can use for your custom map. Many of these packs include the individual schematics for each tree in the pack for use with WorldPainter. Just be sure to read the tree pack description carefully first to make sure you understand how you are allowed to use the tree pack. Some people don't require you give them credit while others do. Usually I always give credit and link back to the tree pack since they did design the trees I'm using on my custom map. After all, it never hurts to share the love. ^_^

well I can't use schematics, using 1.9 to buid the map, so that's a bit off the hook, but yeah I can take a look arround

and ofc I'll credit people, after all it's their work

WorldPainter should be able to use schematics either way I thought. Then again up to this point I've just made the map and then opened it in whatever game version I've wanted to. For the most part I haven't had problems. My only issue is when I've used an ocean seed and then having an ocean monument generate in land I have created. *sigh* Either way, you should be able to use schematic files in WorldPainter to place trees without any trouble so long as it is 1.6+. Otherwise you have to select the other terrain generation format within the program of WorldPainter.
