I built this trap on my SP-World (without any editing tools/mods). All in all it's nothing special. Just a very unpredictable   trap with some redstone wiring behind it.
The only difficulty was to find a way to stretch the quite short signal of a button to around 12 seconds, so that the dispensers have enough time to kill the victim.

So for all those, who downloaded the world: Have fun killing yourself :D

do you need an archiver (like 7-zip or winrar) to download and use a save? or is it download-and-paste into the saves folder?

you need to extract it first with an archiver and then  copy the folder into the "saves" folder

whenever i try to do anything, it wont let me. i can load up the files, but not modify, add, or delete anything

i have done a second upload (exclusively for you^^) with the world in a .rar archive

it extracted it properly, but when i loaded up minecraft, it wasnt on the saves list. so i made a world with the exact same name, it loaded, and i deleted it because i didnt see much. then the folder in saves went bye bye. i think it worked, how far away from your spawn is the world?

ah, i think i know where the problem is. as it didn't show up in the world list, you should check if there is any subfolder in the folder you extracted it to. in this case take the subfolder and copy it to the "saves" folder. this is very im portant, as there mustn't be any subfolders. i guess you pressed "Extract to World2\", but you should try "Extract here", if you do this, there won't be a subfolder and it should work fine
