This build can use the - the haun solo texture pack. - http://shipyards.freeforums.org/new-server-information-t300.html.  Turns sand into neat looking star trek ship walls.  The use of the texture pack will improve the look of the ships interior from default textures.

Old Info

I started this project in conjunction with builders over at the shipyard forums, the guys who made the Enterprise D (Minetrek 2.0)

The deck plans are based off of those made by Strategic Design.  (Albeit modified to fix / adjust for minor issues, missing links, missing areas, and oddities of the plans themselves.) 

Currently the work is being done off server however updates of the current build will be uploaded perodically to the minecraft 2.0 server.  (Currently the base build is now up, housed in 14jroyer's dry dock to the aft of the Defiant in the Trek2.0 server world.  Server IP is: 50.46.235.61:17011   NEW Address as of June 14th is - 50.46.235.61:17011

The build is still a long ways from being completed and is only updated on the server every couple of weeks.  The latest version is June 4th.. (not 5th so the updates for the 5th are not included at this time on server.)

PLEASE READ the UPDATE LOGS for most current up to day info.

Old Info -
They are currently working to create a to scale version of the USS Sovereign using specialized deck plans that have been adjusted to correctly scale the ship.  These plans are the only known ones for this class of ship and we are extremely lucky that they have chosen to tackle this project.

I stared to work on my own alpha version of the deck plans before it was realized that the scaling of the actual DP's was slightly off.  No worries, the talented people at shipyards made the adjustments and  needed and kicked the project off. 

Since I had started to work on the plans I will more than likely, in retrospect, continue to work on them as I find time just to see how they would come together.  The official build though will be on the minetrek 2.0 server of course and will be a group effort as was their work on their other wonderfully detailed and accurate star trek builds. 

If you haven't yet checked out their server, hope on over to the forums or do a search here for Enterprise D (minetrek 2.0) and get their server info.

They have a full scale 1:1 Enterprise D, Defiant, Nova, Equinox, and several other amazing builds in progress.

I look forward to finishing my version of the USS Sovereign as my ADD mandates that i finish it. But I urge you all to come support the shipyards efforts to make a true 1:1 fully filled out, deck by deck USS  Sovereign.

Schematics added.

One version is dedicated to the HaunSolo texture pack.
The other is my traditional build style.

Both projects are still a WIP but the ship is fully explorable with loads of details.
Many of the rooms, crew quarters mainly, are not yet lit and have nothing in them.

Well the ship is pretty much done now.  The major build process is completed and most of the interior fit and finish work has be done.  While none of the crew quarters, rooms, or labs have been furnished, most of the ships primary systems are present. 

Right now the ship is set up to use the HaunSolo 16x texture pack available from the shipyards forum or Wiki page. 

I will have a version of the ship set up in my standard build style available soon.  Most likely will be on the Persian World server.  Right now if you want to tour the ship you can do so on the MineTrek 2.0 server.  Just use the texture pack for best effect unless you like looking at sand and glow stone.

Be advised that there is currently an unauthorized version of this build being posted for download by: mitchell985 that contains a virus - malware.

The guy is posting a world save of the project that IS NOT authorized or, doubtfully, the actual build itself.  From what I have been told, its nothing more than malware.

THE ONLY VERSION YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD is the OFFICIAL version released by myself or other MineTrek 2.0 Members.  (Trusted well known ones)

All other downloads are dangerous and should be considered suspect.

There is currently NO OFFICIAL download for this build as of yet.  It is still being worked on.  However you can tour it on the minecraft 2.0 game server at any time.

Most of the interior work is now completed on the NX 74001.  The corridors are in and I have begun to add details to most areas.

I strongly recommend that you use the HaunSolo 16x texture pack when you tour the ship on the MineTrek 2.0 server.

Well the server is down for the foreseeable future do to an over heating issue.  The server admin is working diligently to correct the problem but hasn't an ETA as to when it will be back up.

There will be two version built for this design.  One will use the minetrek 16x textures, the other will use my normal design method.  The normal design method will be hosted on the Persian World Server - Shipyards while the Minetrek Textured one will be, of course, hosted on the Minetrek 2.0 shipyards server.

I have done a lot of work to the hull and interior areas. 
I have sleeked out Decks 1 thru 3 to make em look more natural and not so pronounced
I revamped the under hull of the drive section and rounded it up a bit more
I expanded on the Nacelle interior a tad
I began to add in more internal details - systems, weapons, etc
Warp core has been added (slight changes)

Server doesn't have latest build. Last updated was June 4th.

I have finally added in the RCS thrusters to the hull as well as adding in the impulse engines and warp core.

I have added Blibbobs captains yacht to the build as well as reworked the lower section of the secondary hull.

Other detail work on the hull was also performed along with some minor internal work.

Over all the design is coming together nicely.  I should begin work on the Nacelles soon.

I should point out that a significant amount of the work will be done off server for the NX 74001.  Please keep in mind that this is Not the Enterprise E as that build will be done solely on the MineTrek2.0 server and will be at least 1/3rd larger in scale.

As for the work on the NX 74001, it continues. 
I have made my own type 9 shuttle craft.  Two versions, one slightly larger than the other.
I added a screen cap of it.

NX 74001 Sovereign is now being constructed on the MineTrek2.0 sever.  Go to the server, go to the star trek ship world, from the teleport site (Under the defiant) head aft of the Defiant and keep going.  You'll see it in 14jroyer's ( http://www.planetminecraft.com/member/14jroyer/) awesome space dry dock facility.

I spent most of the day working on the exterior hull of the ship.  Now that all the internal decks are aligned. 

One thing to note, this can't be called the Sovereign, even though it is using the same deck plans as the Sovereign, it is about a 1/3 smaller than the actual USS Sovereign.

Ergo can't call it the Sovereign.  However, we can call it a Baby Sovereign Prince. :D

I put the Intrepid next to the Sovereign to see how the size of each ship compared to one another.  As you can see, they look good.  However, the Sovereign should be twice as large as it is compared to the Intrepid.  :(  But for minecraft, it is what it is.

Thank you very much! BTW I'm building a model of the Enterprise-E 1:1 too and youre deck plans are some great help (I was building most of the ship by instinct right now), but please feel free to check my projects ;)

There are two sick bays.  And several transporters on the ship.  I'd recommend that you follow the link in the details to the shipyards forum and download, if they are still available. the MHeller3000 deck by deck views of the build in order to see find the areas you would like.  

As to the blue prints, I used the Strategic Design deck plans.  They are no longer available for public purchase.  You might be able to obtain a copy from private source.  I don't own them so I cannot give them to you.  Sorry mate.

However if you use MCedit you could do a cross section of each deck and then use them as a guide for any project you might be working on.

Designing deck layouts is relatively simple albeit time consuming.  Can you tell me what builds you are working on?

the escape pod itself must be surrounded by stone so it dosent take the rest of the ship up with it
oh and is it possible to make a heavily damaged version of this ship? like Voyager in the Year OF Hell episode

If you wanted too, you could use MCedit to put stone around all the pods and to give it battle damage.  Its something that I am not really interested in doing but I have no objections if someone wanted to do that and repost it as a modified build.  (just post link to original build)

Sounds like an interesting idea though.  The build took a couple of months to do and it was build about 50% or so on the minetrek (Shipyards) server.  I used MCedit to replace the sand with double stone slabs.

oh.....if you think i ment to make the entire ship zepplin mod compatable you are mistaken. i only said to make the ESCAPE PODS  zeppelin mod compatable. I wanted to make the ship movable with the zepplin mod, wich will probably kill my game :P

No I understood you. Sorry for the quip answer.  Was in a hurry.  I have no objections ff someone wants to modify the build to be zeppelin compatible. They are free to do with my blessing.  As it stands the only ship on the Sovereign that is currently compatible would be the captains yacht as that was set up specifically to be so by Blibbob. The rest of the ship areas are not.  You can try and fly the captains yacht if you want too.  Should work.

Is a world save going to be made available?  I can't even paste the san palo without minecraft running out of memory and/or crashing, nevermind the sovereign.  Which is a pity, it looks slick and i wanna explore.

You best bet would be to go onto the minetreck "shipyards" server then.  If you cannot use McEdit do to memory issues then there really isn't any way you could run the world save file.  However I will get one posted within a day or so.

i've actually had no issues running your biggest maps, save a lil bit of lag on the exterior, on the interiors it's unnoticeable.  Probably because it all doesn't load at once....

While I don't support promoting someone elses builds as your own, I don't support labeling anyone who has a copy as a thief, hacker, dangerous or whatever. It's not a big secret that you can download a world save for personal use (Minecraft World Downloader).

"From what I have been told.." is not an excuse.

I think there should be some unique star trek collection made by great creators like you! Where did you get these plans at? I need them too for my Enterprise-E ;) did you use momentaneouslys schematics for the ships hull or did you build it yourself?

It wasn't a nasty comment, just one asking if you have ever "cared" to check out planet minecraftr before posting other peoples work....

Of course I made that comment blind not realizing that I was being a complete douche and feel horrible about it.

Thanks Ben.  There are a lot of cool styles out there that don't relay upon texture packs, but they look odd to me so I wanted to stylize the ships in a way that any one could enjoy em without the use of a texture pack or be left asking themselves "WTF" when they looked at obsidian and sand walls with pumpkins.

sorry to interrupt this conversation, but yah, you do a great job of default texture building, for the latest ship ive done, i edited the default version twice to fit 2 other texture packs... i only did that cuz i like both of them... anyways.... im glad to see the ship going onto the Persian world.

I use atro's style as a guideline when i'm making ships. To be honest i think it set the bar for trek ships in general. I mean I've even adapted aspects of it for my shuttles and runabouts.
