This is the first finished area of my new modern city project, its called the WaterFront District. Basically its the area near and around the river. It's sort of a downtown style area with lots of high rise buildings but I have them more spaced out and also have lots of trees/parks mixed in. I think it gives it a nice welcoming feel to the city. With this project, I planned to make the buildings more detailed (and pretty) compared to my last city project. My favourite feature of the city is probably the large park you'll see in the pictures. Its a total of 4 blocks with 2 roads crossing it.

Each building is finished and detailed inside and out, all of the buildings have a lobby and either 1 or 2 different types of floors on top. I have signs in the elevator shafts that tell you how many different floors are in a building and where they start, I think it will make it a lot easier for people who want to explore around.

The only building that isn't finished yet is the mid rise with the wooden accents. I have something special planned for that :).

I'm going to be moving on to the next area of the city now and over time I will post updates as I finish those.

If you have any suggestions as to what I should add or change, please leave them in the comments.

Click world save. Click the start menu on your computer and search "appdata." Then go to the roaming file,click the .minecraft file. There should be a file in there called "saves." Just click that and drop the World Save file in it.

I believe it might be a problem with the different game versions, I am running 1.2.5 and I guess that might affect the map. Although I did change the spawn using mc edit so it could be a spawn problem. If its possible, maybe try respawning.

Are you running on 1.3? When I uploaded this file, my game was on 1.2.5, I'm still running it because some of the mods I use arent compatible yet. It shouldnt affect it but thats the only thing I can think of right now, I tried downloading it myself, loading it up and it worked fine.

I recommend you the road mod for your city but the problem is that if the texture pack isn't compatible...But if it is with any mod It's better I thinck ;)
