A detailed, and "working" theatre. Working referring to the fact that you could (in theory) produce a show in it.
The theatre features:
Lighting Cue system:
As there are 40 odd lighting controls, it's almost impossible to get them all to change at the same time - especially with a small team of people working the controls. Therefor the theatre has a "cue" system for lighting. This means that you can setup the lighting you want for the next scene on the controls, and they will not become active until you press the "go" button. This button then loads the settings from the levers onto the latches hidden away underneath to then change the state of the lights together in time.
I will soon add a video showing how the controls work and what each one does.
The map was built in minecraft 1.8, and will not work on older versions.
Please feel free to use this world in any videos, but please link back to this post and feel free to send me a link to the video - would love to see what people do with this!
The theatre features:
- Two Curtains, which open and close
- Two flights (for scenery) which can fly in and out
- 2 Traps in the stage floor, which close flush with the floor and lower to allow actors to appear and disappear "magically"
- 2 Pyrotechnic Firing points (dispensers in the stage floor, with water above them, can be loaded with TNT or fireworks)
- over 40 Lighting circuits
- A cueing system for lighting controls
- Controllable houselights.
- All controls are labelled, and references to stage directions are in the control room (Incase you can't remember which way is stage left/right or up/down stage)
- All controlled from a central control room.
- "Secret" stage entrance.
- 6 Dressing rooms, extensive backstage space and green room.
- Box office and Cafe above auditorium.

A video showing all the features in use added, hope you enjoy. The video may be a bit slow paced, but you can see the sort of thing that's possible with it!

I've been wanting to do something theatre based in minecraft and haven't been able to figure out how to make the stage the way I wanted it to work. HOWEVER THIS IS THE BEST RECREATION OF A WORKING THEATRE IN MINECRAFT AND I WANT ONE JUST LIKE IT!
