The Experimental Y-23 Heavy Assault Fighter is truly a one-of-a-kind craft, with an A-Symmetrical design allowing for very precise and sharp turns in and atmosphere, and in space. It was developed by Armin Drive Yards in 5283 AOG as a early design for a Heavy Assault Fighter for the Empire. This design boasts 5 Beacon Type engines and each wing can freely rotate 360 degrees for those sharp and quick getaways from your enemies. The Y-23 carries 2 quad-antiproton missle bays along with 4 heavy assault Machine guns. The main pod doubles as an escape pod if the craft is too heavily damaged, and can reach par-light speeds on its own. The Y-23 was made to order for the Empire, who wanted a new and heavily armed and armored ship that could reach sublights speeds easily, and quickly. the final result is a ship with the most superior atmosphere and space maneuverability of any ship in service.
