You wake up in a luxurious palace with only menial supplies.

As you look around, you realize you are in a desert...
...About 400,000 square miles of desert, claims a sign

There are hundreds of armored people running around the immediate area.
You try and ask a question of one, most seem busy. Another shouts 'War!' as he runs past.

]Unknowing of the current situation, you board a convoy just starting its trek.
The convy begins to slow, coming upon a town. You are startled by the sound of nearby explosions.
The town is being bombarded with mortar fire, there seems to be an absolute war.

The convoy halts as the lead is hit with a stray shot.
You flee the wagon seeking shelter, only to find there is no place safe.
You dig into the sand... and you wait.

The day passes on, the explosions become more infrequent.
The last cries of the many warriors fade with the final mortars.
Rising up out of the sand you look upon the carnage wrought.

It is up to you to survive, to thrive. To conquer.




































Grief and pillage unprotected bases.
Kill your enemies and collect their gear.
Craft items and sell them for Lightstones, GLD's native currency.
Stockpile supplies, build caches, be prepared.
Make enemies, or allies.
Create a nation, and try to claim the proverbial crown.

• The map is entirely desert, equaling the actual size of the Kalahari Desert!
  

• Trees, water, and food are very hard to come by. You will start with some supplies and money to get you started.
  

• War is started automatically for two timezones every Saturday @ 7PM EST and Sunday @ 12PM EST for two hours. During this time, you may invade other towns, and pvp, grief and pillage.
  

• GLD is heavily PVP orientated, you must be willing to accept failure and challenges, as opponents will be skilled.
  

• Nearly 100% uptime. Reboots once per 12 hours. (12PM/AM EST).
