Hey MinecraftForums!Halo4356, a visionary of the idea that would one day sprout into the server as it is, was eating a bowl of lucky charms cereal that was already two thirds gone when he had the idea-a ranger's apprentice server! He was currently on the ninth book, and he absolutely adored the series. And so, in this moment, he decided he would start a thread on the Minecraft forums, explaining his idea, and getting many a people to join him. The idea was a success, but something important was missing-a server! So for a week, halo4356 laboured to find a server host, but none came forward. But one day, halo4356 got a host-from an unexpected place. Now, to understand the weirdness behind this, you must have some insight. Halo4356 at the time was also involved in the idea to create a clan, one that was run by democracy. It failed, but before it did, a man by the acegamer9 stepped forward, offering a server. Halo4356 repurposed the server for ranger's apprentice-and so it began. Builders helped build the castles, others the lore, some administrated, like halo4356. But eventually, acegamer9 could no longer pay for the server, and it got shut down. And when all seemed bleak, and the idea was about to die off, even from halo4356's heart, another man stepped forward-a visionary by the name of rop181. He brought forward a server that he gave to halo to make the map. With rop181's server under control, ranger's apprentice roared back to life, and this time it would not be put down. Builders from all over the world came to halo4356, asking to help. He accepted all of them, and the countries were rapidly finished. As they approached release, crunch time came down, tweaking castles, setting up the permissions, creating the lore. And now, we are here.
Lately i have Been reading a series called Ranger's Apprentice (website:http://www.rangersapprentice.com/). it is based in the medieval ages in a fictitious world. it is a great series, i would recommend it. basically, it will be 4 different factions fighting for control, making treaties, basically being epic. there are descriptions of these factions below. the only rule for the entire server is no griefing. any rule breaking of nations rules, will result in banishment and loss of items to gallica.

Gallica
Gallica is a a nation that is in total turmoil. there is no real leader, but many warlords battling amongst themselves. they raid the surrounding villages for riches, burning their homes and taking their livestock.
Special Attributes:
Pros:
-no rules, except for no griefing. you can do whatever you want to try and survive.
-there is no economy. Bartering is their money.
-villages are free, no need to pay anyone to start one.
Cons:
-constant raiding. you must be heavily defended to stave off fights.
-no lockette permitted.
-admins and moderators have no power in Gallica. most criminals live there.
Extra:
-Their Landscape is mostly flat.
-they are know for their food.
Araluen (limited applications)
Araluen is country that believes in rights, honor, and fairness. this comes with the price of an economy, and strict rules for most. They, are prosperous, with the special band of rangers guarding them, and a large army. There are many smaller provinces that make up Araluen.
Special Attributes:
Pros:
-Laws and rules are heavily enforced, and there is close to no stealing.
-Lockette is permitted.
-they are "peacekeepers", with treaties with almost all other nations. they rarely partake in war.
-they have an economy.
Cons:
-Rules are extremely strict, one breach will result in banishment, or death.
-sometimes building space is hard to find.
-starting new towns is costly, and is usually not worth it.
Extra:
Their landscape varies, from there being mountains, to artic kind of weather, to vast plains.
Skandia (applications closed)
Skandia is a country that gets its riches from raiding the other countries on their giant wolfships. they do not raid Araluen, due to a treaty signed between the two countries after the temujai invaision.
Special Attributes:
Pros:
-PvP is encouraged, and fights are common entertainment in skandia.
-the only nation with moving vehcles, their wolfships allow fast escape after raids.
They are extremely wealthy.
-they can take other players as slaves, making them to jobs they dont want to.
Cons:
-Skandians are look at suspiciously, most people do not trust them, and are only permitted in araluen and skandia with out immediate attack.
Extra: their landscape is artic.
Arrida
Arrida is a trading nation, raided extremely often by the skandians. They are Desert people, causing anyone who is unprepared to die long before they make it to any of their towns inland. therefore, they are concentrated on the coast, in huge forts.
Pros:
-start with double the money of any other countries
-may trade with all countries except for Skandia.
-start with a small house, farm, and supplies
Cons:
-must be on constant alert for skandians
-venturing too far inland will drain your heath, half a heart a day, until you find a town, or oasis.
Extra:
-The Arridans can only build with sandstone, sand, and cobble, with the exception of non-aesthetic purposes (i.e.: workbenches, chests, tools
their landscape is Desert.

boy, rather than fearing the rangers, he wanted to follow in thier footsteps. He
always thought his fiefs ranger could be better but always looked up to will and halt. When he did, he would run out into the street watch
him go by. He always hoped to be apprenticed to a ranger. Now, as he is approaching the age to become an
apprentice, he hopes he will become one of them...

He always tried to catch a glimpse of the ranger in his fief when he rode through his village. When he did, he would run out into the street watch him go by. Name:Nick
backstory: Nick grew up in Ranger Will's shadow and wanted to become a ranger because he was very quite with his steps. Will took him on and 4 years after being apprenticed with Will, they went to renew a tready with Skandia. Will and Tug stayed ahead while Shiv and I were behind. Shiv was one of the few ranger horses that was slow with ditecting ambushes so we ended I ended up a slave while Shiv was sent off into the wild so i had no chance of escape. I passed out from it and when i woke up i was on a Skandian Wolfship. The rest of my life i do not remember well except for how i escaped by sneking off into the ocean during the summer gales. I have no memories after that.
