About Minesteria
Minesteria is a classic survival multiplayer server that focuses on the core aspects of Minecraft: building; exploring; and surviving! We have a ton of things you can do on the server which further enhance the classic Minecraft experience which are detailed below. We do not tolerate griefing on the server and we pride ourselves in being a family friendly community on which people of all ages and abilities can play in peace with their friends or all alone. 

Regions
The server has a clever regions system which allows players, new and old, to teleport around the map to a number of different regions, which makes exploring so much easier! When a new player joins, he or she is assigned to a region which is their home region which they can teleport to with /homeregion. Home regions are always full of unexplored land and lots of resources, so this means you don't have to run across the map for ages to find a nice place to build. If you don't like your region you can travel to another region and move into it by using /randomregion and /movein, you can also visit certain regions with /visitregion and find out which region you're in by using /whichregion.

There are some really great regions on the server that you should visit as they're home to amazing towns and builds, just use the /visitregion command when you join!







No Griefing
Griefing is absolutely not tolerated on the server in any form, including stealing items, killing people's animals and 'just taking a few crops', it's not allowed, period. We use the GriefPrevention plugin which allows all players to claim their land which means only the owner of the land and anyone who is trusted on it (with the /trust command) can use the land.

You can claim your land with a golden spade which you're given upon joining, if you lose it you can use /kit starter to get it back. To claim an area of land you right-click in one corner of your land and then right-click in the other corner to make a box, your claim must be AT LEAST 10x10 (100 blocks). The longer you play the more land you can claim as you accrue claim blocks over time, and you can also get claim blocks from voting and by buying them with /buyclaimblocks.

To remove a claim use /abandonclaim, to remove all your claims use /abandonallclaims. There are very detailed guides available by searching for them if you ever need help with this plugin.


McMMO
We use McMMO on the server, if you're not familiar with McMMO then click here to learn about it. It's a very useful plugin that adds many new aspects and skills to the gameplay, allowing you to level up in areas such as Mining, Excavation and Fishing which helps you gain rewards for carrying out these actions and also give you special abilities.
You need to get the Member rank to have full access to McMMO, without the Member rank you will have very basic access to only a few skills, to get the Member rank just reply to this thread with your in-game name!


Rank System
Players can buy ranks in exchange for in-game currency by using /rankup, use /ranks to see a list of ranks and prices. Each rank comes with a number of different perks and abilities which adds an incentive for you to rankup and unlock exclusive features! There are eight ranks, the cheapest being $5,000 all the way up to $1,000,000! A full guide about ranks is available on the forums!


Jobs
You can get jobs in-game where you can earn money for carrying out certain tasks, and as your job skill rises the more money you get for carrying out the job's task. You can have a maximum of one job at any given time, and as a new player you can only access two jobs.

As you buy ranks with in-game currency you can access better and higher paying jobs such as the Hunter, which gets money for killing mobs and other players! Use the /jobs command in-game to get jobs and see a list of jobs.


Economy & Player Market
We are an economy survival server and that means that you can buy and sell items in return for in-game cash on the server, with which you can buy things from the shops, market and buy ranks, etc. There are a number of ways to earn money on the server.



You can sell items you have gathered at the admin shop which is at /warp market, the prices here are very high to buy and very low to sell to try and encourage trading between players at the player market.

At the player market (/warp pmarket) a number of players have set up shops, all of which sell different things at a much cheaper price than the main market. We use the ChestShop plugin to allow players to create shops, you can create ChestShops when you hold the rank of Merchant or higher and create a shop on the player market when you hold the rank of Citizen or higher.

Vote for Rewards
You can vote up to four times per day on the server in return for a number of rewards every time you vote, as well as cumulative rewards that are given after you surpass a certain number of votes in a monthly period. You can vote by going to /warp vote in-game or by clicking here, you can see how many votes you have as well as what the cumulative rewards are when you join the server. The cumulative rewards change every month. Each vote gets you:
