BetterPvP focuses on a balanced yet fun and unique PvP experience. The server is completely custom, so there are a lot of new things added to create a really enjoyable experience.On regular PvP servers players are always in diamond or iron armor, we've eliminated that aspect and made it worthwhile to play every armor set/class. Classes are applied to what armor set you are wearing and have cool unique and interesting abilities. Not only this but Better PvP has clans, which is inspired by factions and lets you and your friends, team up, build bases and fight with your allies on the doorstep of your enemies.

Inspired by the Factions plugin, Clans allows players to group up into teams, and work together in order to become the best on the server. Clans can forge great alliances and daring rivalries with one another. The thing that makes Clans so unique is the way you take over land. Instead of stealing the land of other clans through power, Clans uses a special system called Dominance. You can dominate an enemy clan simply by killing them 16 more times than they kill you, and once you have dominated them, your then able to claim a chunk of their land similar to power.

Server will have a completely hack free environment. As soon as someone is suspected of hacking they won’t be banned, instead they will be forced to download a client from our website in order to play on the server. If the player happens to modify the client it simply won’t allow the player to be able to join, the only way the player could, would be to re-download the client. This will create an even playing field for PvP without people hacking or the accusations of people using hacks.

Players are 'tagged' when they are in combat, which punishes them for logging out during combat. Vanilla servers are filled with loggers, and this system will drop their items on the floor if they log out during combat. You are also not safe in safe zones for 60 seconds after attacking; meaning players can't abuse safe zones for a PvP advantage. Players can type /log and then stand still in game to perform a safe log out. If they don't do this, and disconnect normally, the player’s inventory will drop. Combat logging certainly isn't an exploitable mechanism on BetterPvP!
