Yes, I apologize for not having a massive thread full of fancy images to make the server look better. Instead, I would rather have the server speak for itself. The server is currently a closed Beta, you may sign up at. (Check website link)
The server is ran by a fully dedicated server located near Chicago. We are saving up for more money to upgrade the RAM on the server to support more players, however currently we can support up to 50 players. The server has almost no rules. Yes, you can pillage your enemy's base for supplies. It is not griefing. The goal is survival of the fittest. People may team & form factions. All materials gained will have to be harvested from the land, the way survival mode was meant to be played. There will be no use of the "/give" command. The only thing we do not permit of is hacked clients, as we believe in keeping the gameplay fair.
The server has six 10,000RPM SCSI HDDs, running in RAID to prevent data loss(If one of the HDDs begin to fail, one of the other 5 will mirror it and eventually take over its job). There are two hot swap 1,000 Watt PSUs, making it easy to service it if there is a power supply failure. The computer is stable running off of 1 of the PSUs, so if one were to fail the power on the server will not be lost; meaning uptime. To replace the previous PSU, I simply slide a new one in. I can do this WHILE the server is running. Not to mention that the server also has ECC(Error Correcting) RAM, which means if there is a fault in the memory it will simply stop using the damaged sector; instead of a full system crash. What does this mean? This means the chances of your creations being lost are extremely minimal, and the server is much more fail-proof than any current ones available.
