Update #1 : by DeadRealms 04/13/2014 6:14:53 pmApr 13th, 2014
After a long period of haitaus from the majority of the team we are back and kicking. Availer and Vaq both having retired away from Dungeon Realms - Vaq working for Minecade and Availer casting for CS:Go games. We where aquired by Minecade early february at which point we updated instantly to 1.7, unfortunately brang a collection of bugs, and dupes to the forfront of the game completely disrupting the game play.
However all is not to fret, we now have two lovely coders @Vilsol & @iFamass who are putting in the majority of there time improving code so the servers run so much smoother. Vilsol primarly focus on Bug fixes while iFamass is helping us keep content coming to our players.
Thanks ~Mayley.

The first was the lack of updates. There were no large updates for about two or three months. The server belongs to new people now though, so that is likely to change.
The second was the community. There was lots and lots of hate over things like people losing their armor in PvP. This was partially the fault of the devs because they changed it to make the armor drop, but still. It's just a videogame. Quite a few people don't believe the sentence stated previous to this one.
The third was that there was lots of grinding required. The main part about this part that bothered me is that some people have more free time. So they go and get some awesome stuff, then go and prevent others from getting it because the place is a chaotic zone and they want to be the best. Since the good farming places were taken by the early birds who were in it for only the money. Again, partially the community's fault.
The fourth thing was that PvP wasn't really PvP. People would just go to chaotic zones near safe zones and fight until they're about to die, then run into the safe zone. The only time I've seen PvP different from this is when it's still not actually PvP because the target is weaker than the attacker. Therefore it is PKing, not PvP. This could be fixed two ways though, both being added would work best. Armor should no longer drop on neutral alignment and rather than teleporting you back to a chaotic zone while in PvP when you're trying to run away to a safe zone, you should just be killable by anyone while in the safe zone, and they don't get neutral for it.
The fifth was staffs. When staffs were added, escaping an attacker with 3x your hp was basically impossible. They would get a wood staff and spam you with snowballs to slow you down so they can get an easy kill. IMO they shouldn't have ever been added and should be removed.
The sixth was the extremely unbalanced PvP and how free you were to kill people. When you start out, you have 50 hp. Last time I checked, sneakysnipe, the strongest person on the server, last time I checked, had 36k hp. The average hp of someone who starts farming for t5 is 3-6k last time I checked. Their average weapon damage is 100. Sneaky's sword is like 700? Something like that. I think. But anyway you get the point. Even a group of 10 5-6ks would probably not be able to take down sneaky because he can drink potions, when if one of them dies, that's a permanent 3-6k gone from their group's hp. He can also kill one of them in about 6-7 hits? Anyway, you get the point. PvP isn't restricted to certain healths and stuff, and to actually PvP you have to have about 20k hp or someone's going to come and hop in to help and 6 shot you. And 20k hp is hard to get. Still don't comprehend the imbalance? Let me make a bad graph thingy.
T1: 100-400 hp
T2: 400-1300 hp
T3: 1300-3000 hp
T4: 3000-12000 hp
T5: 12000-36000 hp
See how the numbers look more like they're multiplying rather than increasing at a steady pace that would be balanced, where 3 or 4 good T4 people could take down a good T5 person without using hacks or tons of T5 potions every three seconds?
I don't have anymore things, I'm done go away.
