Classes

Ecoverse offers 4 classes, each containing valuable perks which allows members to contribute to the economy and community. Whether you're looking to explore and conquer new foes and lands, to build and manage properties, or to invest and put your money on the line, Ecoverse offers all this and more!


   Merchant 

Responsible for: Buying, Selling, Gambling, Investing, Lottery, Banking

The Merchant's perks are primarily geared to provide a Merchant with tools to access and manipulate the economy to benefit himself. Merchants can access the Black Market, gamble with other players, create shops that will function even without them online, invest in profitable ventures, monitor and solicit lottery tickets, operate bank accounts, and much more!

Black Market



Merchants gain access to the Black Market. The Black Market is an underground economy with dynamic pricing systems. The prices of items and the items found on the market may be slightly altered every hour. The Black Market provides a basis for Merchants (and other classes) to do business with a general idea for pricing.

Stalls



Merchants are able to rent stalls directly outside of the spawn building. The stall provides a merchant with a public, visible, and highly visited area where he can place sign shops to sell/buy while he is away. This is a great way for a new business to become known and make some money!

 Explorer 

Responsible for: Adventuring, Exploring, Environmental Mastery, Creating Towns

The Explorer is geared towards fighting monsters and exploring new lands. The Explorer has privileged access to the Adventure World where you'll find dangerous dungeons for you to explore. An Explorer will also get powerful spells and abilities which allow himself to become resistant to nature (drowning, lava, etc.). You also gain access to special features that give you an advantage in combination with other plugins (treasure hunts, maps, etc). Explorers also are able to compete to find AdventurePoints, which are small objectives scattered across the world waiting to be found.

Adventure Waypoints



Adventure Waypoints is an exciting new Explorer perk found only on EcoVerse! In essence, Explorers are allowed to participate in a never ending scavenger hunt that dynamically changes before your eyes! Type /ap to begin your search for the waypoint! Once you've found it, simply click it and you'll receive a randomly selected item pack. Type /ap top to view the Adventure Waypoint leaderboards!

 Squire 

Responsible for: Transportation, Influence, Stargates, Nether Portals, Magic Trees, NPCs, Region Flags

Squires are the service class, providing quick transportation, NPCs, region flags, and influences. They can exploit their power to get admins to do tasks other classes can only dream of. They are able to plant magic trees which drop special items for you to collect, create nether portals, alter time and weather, and much more!

Admin Influence



Squires have the ability to influence Admins to complete normally impossible tasks! Some of these influences include: Quarries (picture), spawning animals, region flags, bedrock placement/removal, and biome changes. The amount of influences you can do depends on your rank, and often the awesomeness of the influence also rises with your rank. Influences do follow a very rigid procedure, so please read the Game Guide for proper procedures.

Magic Trees



Squires can create magic trees, allowing for quick and easy harvesting of a wide array of materials. The tree will drop the specified item on the sign only if it is in green. If it's red it will need to be replenished by being given bonemeal. Using magic trees efficiently and strategically will benefit the user.

 Labourer 

Responsible for: Building, Contracts, Cauldrons, Property Managers, and Machines, Repairs, Fireworks, Subprotections, Paid Switches

Labourers are masters of building, technology, and machinery. They are able to create complex machines which immensely aid in farming, building, and mining. They also are property managers, and can rent/sell properties to players in the Property World. Labourers also receive special contracts from the server, asking them to create something that benefits the general public. They'll be rewarded for their hard work. They can also create spectacular fireworks displays, switches that charge people when used, and cauldrons.

Cauldrons



Labourers are able to use a cauldron, which essentially allows them to take one or more item(s) and convert it into another item. Labourers will need to take advantage of this perk to collect amounts of rare items needed to rankup. For a full list of recipes and more information, see here.

Machinery



As Labourers progress in rank, they gain access to Machinery! These Machines can simplify boring and time consuming tasks, whether it's planting and harvesting an entire farm, or placing blocks in a certain arrangement. These machines can be manipulated in certain ways to help maximize your objective. Read the Game Guide for an in-depth look at Machines.

 Economy 

Ecoverse is an economy server, and it features a realistic, dynamic economy that can be shaped by you! Merchants can access the black market which impacts the supply and demand of items, which leads to shifts in prices. Talk to a Merchant to see what is in high and low demand. The prices in the black market are changed via a random event which may occur every hour. Keep your eyes peeled!


General Features

Magic



Everyone has access to the /cast command, but only some classes and players have access to specific spells. Explorers will unlock spells like /c gills which allows them to breathe underwater for a short period of time. Donators and voters also have the ability to purchase spells such as /c stonevision which gives them a great way to make money, and to have fun!


MCMMO



Included in Ecoverse's extensive list of plugins is MCMMO! This plugin allows players to receive skill points from things like mining and excavating. They'll rank up each skill individually, and as they progress through their skill ranks, will unlock sweet perks and bonuses such as higher rare item drop rates, or faster mining.


Stargates



Stargates may look like a Nether portal, but it serves a slightly different purpose. Instead of teleporting you to the Nether, a Stargate will teleport you to another Stargate that is on the same network as itself! Use Stargates to quickly travel across the world, visiting towns and hotspots!


Lottery



You can contact a Merchant to buy a 100 Silver lottery ticket. You are allowed to purchase a maximum of 250 tickets. When a ticket is bought, you are automatically entered into the draw which gives you the opportunity to win some large amounts of money! The draw occurs every 24 hours. Good luck!


Fishing Tournaments



Fishing tournaments may randomly occur. If you see an event that says a fishing tournament has begun, grab your fishing rods and head to that location! Any body of water in the area specified is eligible for the tournament. The winner receives 3 of each class item, and anyone who participates receives 3 diamonds!

Bank Machines



EcoVerse features functional ATM machines which anyone is free to use! However, to deposit money you must consult a Merchant. Every day, compiling interest is automatically added into your personal account.  To view/withdraw money from your account, use an ATM machine.


Worlds

In attempt to keep the main world neat and tidy, we've created separate worlds which fit various needs and functions. A list of worlds Ecoverse has can be found below!

Main World

The main world is where most of your time will be spent. It is where towns and players interact with each other and the economy. This is where players form together and build towns. It's also the location of SilverCity, Ecoverse's main "spawn" town. We ask that you do NOT conduct your mining operations here. We have a special world for that!


Mining World



This world is where you are able to mine to your heart's content. It is reset occasionally, so do not build anything or store your valuables as they will be lost during the reset. To access the Mining World, speak to the NPC in the spawn building in SilverCity.


Property World



The Property World is where Labourers are given their properties to rent/sell. It is a located on a separate world to allocate more space in the main world and to prevent a grid-like pattern in the main world. Speak to a Labourer to learn more information on buying or renting a property here. To get to the Property World, use a Stargate on the Hotspots network.


Adventure World



The Adventure World is a world which only Explorers have access to. It divided into four tiers, and the tier you'll find yourself in is dependent on your rank. The higher the tier, the harder and more complex the dungeons will be. But, you'll also find much more valuable loot! To access the Adventure World, visit the NPC in the basement of the Explorer's Guild.


Schematics World



The Schematics World is a world for Labourers to display their best work for the server to see, and hopefully purchase! An R2+ Labourer gets access to a 15x15 plot of land, and they are free to build whatever they want on it (abiding by server rules). Once completed, an admin counts the blocks required to make the structure. You are then free to sell the structure to other players, provided you have the required amount of blocks to copy it!


Arena World



The Arena World is an entire world dedicated to Mob Arenas, and in the future Spleef and other exciting games. The Arena features a fully functional leaderboard and an exciting map to play on. Choose from 5 different exciting classes and get ready to fight!

PVP World



EcoVerse has an entire world dedicated to domination-styled PVP. Capture objectives to gain passive rewards to help you progress in the world and expand your territory! Have all four objectives under your control at once and you'll gain sole access to the Plenty, allowing you to gain even more rewards. The domination style featured on the PVP World is a unique style of gameplay you likely have never encountered in Minecraft.
