BackStory:
Our once beloved home Erralain, filled with beauty, harmony and complex machines built by man. But now by a new and ever devouring darkness and pestilence that feeds off all thats holy and good. Slowly it consumed the dwindling old growth forests thats ever spanned since the primordial ages and finally was at our door steps like the marching armies of our enemies. People and sentient creatures alike have begun to leave, fleeing to the land across the sea coined Grimoire in hopes of escaping this ever consuming plague of darkness.

On the seas of dust and silence, where dreams and memories entwine, therein the halls of wordless voices does Fate reveal her grand design.

That was a year ago, now creatures and monsters of evil and darkness have begun to crawl out of their pits and caves flocking to the wilderness of Grimoire. Rumors begin to surface as speculation of where these creatures came from grow by the day. Dozens of different stories are heard, however, words such as plague and darkness quickly become the talk of the land. On the winds there is speak of a great evil residing in an ancient building located near the coast, and with heroes of all calibers rose to the challenge to purge this evil from the land. Many heroes fell during the incursion of the ancient ruins, but like a phoenix rises from the ashes, a new group of heroes rose from the fallen. This group of powerful heroes and adventurers fought through the endless waves of monster to reach the center of the ruin and what they found was a creature of pure malice and evil stuck halfway inside an enchanted mirror like cube, the beast was twisted in anger and pain, reeking of darkness and stuck somewhere between reality and imagination. The heroes brought the fight to it and managed to drive the thing back into its mirrored asylum. However in doing so the heroes were destroyed from the sheer power of the dark energy that was released from the cube, but as any negative action theres always a positive reaction. With the sacrifice the heroes made their essence merged with the dark energy and created what many settlers call a beacon of hope. Over time heroes from all across Grimoire came flocking to the ruins to drive the remaining monsters away and to start rebuilding. Though the land near the beacon is still uninhabitable, darkness and creatures leak out of that cursed mirror every once and a while making all who hears about it squirm in fear of a repeat of all those years ago.

The darkness is only the absence of light - bring the light near and the darkness will die.

Our server sprouts using the Feed The Beast MindCrack modpack that allow players the opportunity to play the game
in many unique ways. Our community is friendly and helpful, but the RP aspect of it may surprise you. We runs various grief-prevention and item-protection plugins to make your time and experience with us an enjoyable one.
My intenstions is to bring Grimoire to an RPG level that has a fully functional economy with shops and a leveling system. Stealing, Griefing, and PVP is accepted, but can easily be stopped by placing land claims down on your buildings and chests to prevent such things from happening. You can buy more claim blocks using in game currency that you can earn multiple ways by logging in daily, voting for the server, trading, selling, and so much more!

What is Feed The Beast?
The mod pack is centered around mods built on the Minecraft Forge platform. It initially focused on mods of a technical theme, such as IndustrialCraft, Buildcraft, and RedPower. However it then expanded to other genres, such as magic mods like Thaumcraft and Mystcraft.

More features will be added over time. I hope too get the server to an RPG level that's fun and different from the normal Minecraft atmosphere. The servers definitely in it's infancy stage with around 10 active players from around the globe.
