One of Heroes' main features is a fully customizable class system and that's something we've been happy to take advantage of. Herocraft features five main paths which each have four specializations.

 

 

Within the Heroes plugin, as well as Classes, are Professions.

Professions are a secondary set of skills player can use to acquire materials and produce resources. Your profession is separate from your choice of which path to follow, as such your profession level is leveled independently of your Path

The starting profession for all players is the Crafter.

Herocraft is home of the Heroes RPG plugin. On Herocraft you'll be presented with a very hardcore environment in which you must strive to survive!

Bukkit hates Herocraft Dev because we wont fall in line.  


Because we externally link to our build server (jenkins) and our bug tracker (redmine) they removed it because it doesn't natively support Bukkit anymore.


Long story short... Red tape.  You can find our plugin on Spout.org now :)

Patch 4.02 now live!Changes:
Slightly increased the melee damage of Warriors / Healers / Casters
Resolved HeroTowns issue with distance between town claims being too far.
Really fixed Tombstone LWC timer this time.
Added block requirements to Townships. List for exact requirements coming soon!
ChestShops once again cost 50c per chestshop and refunds 40c.
Whitelisted members now are unaffected by the Captcha.
Tweaked various other things in regards to Nocheat activity for better capturing.
Integrated pvp-logging punishment to HeroFeatures. It should outright kill anyone who logs while in combat. Thanks @mung3r
Added enter/exit messages to HeroTowns regions
Added /town setrank <playername> guest for Mayors to allow users to be guests on their region (needs testing)
Disabled massive thunderstorms, rain should still work.
Added /unbind - as an alias of /bind - can now just /unbind - to clear a bind.
Scribes can now use SHEARS and F-RODS
Crafter Specializations now have the ability to use flint/steel.
Fireblade now works with axes for Pyromancers.
TNT now properly damages players / creatures. (It's deadly!)
Resolved Cauldron issues for Alchemist - should be very brewy! More here
Farmers can now successfully breed animals.
Citizens now properly leave the region permission when leaving a town.
Thievery is now working watch your back!
Runeblade's "Runeword" skill now functional and increases magic damage on the target.
Mystic is now selectable after mastering Healer.
HeroTown region is now the appropriate chunks, resolved missing chunks in the math. (This will be auto-resolved when you upgrade your town or a new town is created)
TNT currently will not do block damage, but still damage Players/Mobs. (TNT regen will be in shortly!)

Herocraft 4.0 RELEASED! NEW MAP!

Major Changes
  • The new main spawn city is named Bastion.
  • Better starting setup
    • Crafters now have basic survival skills (SummonPick/Warp)
    • Level 10 and below players cannot PVP.
    • Completely new introduction / tutorial area.
  • Township changes
    • Township banks (both for upgrades and weekly tax).
    • Township tax (now gets deducted every 7 days).
    • Township automation of protection.
    • Township protection now works chunk by chunk (bed to sky)
    • Township titles for Mayor/SIC.
    • A hard cap for townships of (25) - number may change.
    • Massive boxy walls and glass domes = ILLEGAL (will be torn down by admins)
  • Leveling Rate
    • Slightly increased the amount of exp lost on death.
    • Greatly decreased the time to master combat specializations.
  • PVP Protection
    • All pvp-off areas have been reduced greatly.
    • Only the immediate and necessary areas have pvp-off.
    • Tutorial area pvp off to introduce newbies to the game.
  • Spawn Plots/Shops
    • Completely automated with BuyRegion
    • "spawn" plots are rented for lesser prices every 2 weeks to a month
  • Economy Changes
    • Gold will still be traded for coin.
    • Emerald is the new currency item for Merchants > Villagers.
    • Trade District will be overhauled/changed.
  • The Nexus / Multiverse
    • Museum Maps.
    • Special Maps/Events.
    • Creative Worlds.
  • Quest EXP
    • Tutorial Area has quests to introduce the system
    • Collect/Kill/Locate/PVP quests are incoming SOON!
  • Donation Revamp
    • Changed the perks around.
  • Staff Changes
    • New Admin -> Alator
  • The Greylist
    • All players can connect to Herocraft
    • Whitelisted players can global chat, place/destroy blocks
    • Donating will get greylisted users build rights.
  • Anti-Glitch Prevention
    • Added Chest Fixes - no more block-lagging into chests (Needs testing)
  • 1.3 Changes
    • Enderchests (Probably going to Merchant).
    • Villagers will be highly sought after to trade.

    General:
    • GRAVEYARDS ARE ACTIVE - BEDSPAWN = OFF
    • Updated Herochat to 5.0
    • You can now report exploits/cheats privately to staff! here
    • Turned PVP-OFF around Herogates
    • Added Chainmail creation (Iron_Fence sorted like Armor)
    • Added Furnace Growth
      • Sapling -> Reeds
      • Seeds -> Wheat
      • Melon_Seeds -> Melon
    • Furnance Growth Recipes Fixed
    • GROWTH RE-ADDED
    • Items dropped in other chunks may not be retrievable.
    • Falsebook IC's are BROKEN until the dev fixes. (ASAP)
    Heroes:
    • Removed the 'HEROES:' message on all messages
    • EXTREME: Skill descriptions now give proper damage %/etc's
    • Warmup/Skills now save the target when initially used
    • All casting times (skills) now have an associated "Slow" effect for casting logic for the caster
    • In response to adding casting time to damage skills - we are increasing their effectiveness.
    Skills:
    • Most skills have a LEVELing component too them that will increase RANGE, reduce MANA and cooldowns.
    • Bite - reintroduced for Rogue/War path
    • Tumble - normalized fall damage
    • Receiver1 & 2 - for Engineers
    Reagent Skills:
    • Hellgate - now uses Enderpearls as the reagent
    • Bandage - now uses redstone instead of paper
    • Overgrowth - now uses redstone instead of seeds
    Classes:
    • Healer - warmup skills now save the target
    • Building exp source now added for CRAFTER & Mason
