This server is based off the principles of a U.S. Army Special Forces "Green Berets” Team called an Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA).   You will progress through the ranks of a Special Forces (SF) team and earn more commands and privileges.

This server is not for the weak hearted.  Mobs are set to hard.

The most realistic approach to combat operations is applied.  There is no Obsidian on this server.  Water or lava covered buildings are not allowed.  Therefore you need to build far away from other factions and defend your base well with TNT booby traps.

There is no chest protection system em-placed on this server, leaving all factions open for fair attack.

You earn money by trapping, breeding, and killing chickens, pigs, fish, and cows.  Villagers are known to keep livestock, but if caught by a villager you will be sent to the Prisoner of War Camp.

Passing Mountain School, Airborne School, Combat Dive Qualification Course (Scuba School), and the Star Exam (Navigation Course) will earn you a complete suite of Diamond Armor Protection IV kits.

One thing, wouldn't a green beret behind enemy lines want to be light? I suggest that you instead give Chainmail w/ Protection (as high as it goes) or optionally diamond armor with Half the amount of a protection enchantment, and many others (aqua breathing maybe.) Just a suggestion, but once I get my military personal skin done, Ill join :D

I do not have to think what a Green Beret might do.  I am one and have been behind enemy lines.  Anyway, you would be amazed at how heavy we actually go.  Once you see the schools you will understand that not everyone has the patients or skill to pass them.  Each school besides Airborne school takes way over an hour.  If you make one mistake and die you start over.  Just like in the real schools, except the die and lava part, lol.  I do not know where you got the Chainmail part, it is diamond armor.  Green Berets are always the best protected.   Anyway I look forward to your suggestions.  Come and check it out we are almost up to 100 players with only being open 5 days.  Thank You for you comments.

A quick look through my military textbooks and I see that I was thinking about the SEALs, lol. The skin has been done for a while, but classes have been keeping me very busy. I can check it out tonight, definately. The courses and faction thing really requires a good tactical choice of building, I applaud that. You are running one of the coolest servers out there dude, also, if you need anything built (A mach base, or even a small battlefield modeled after a city or so) just tell me, and I can build it for you.

I have seen you on.  We started a great weekly event.  You should come check out the PVP arena if you have not seen it lately.  We are building a Red Dawn-ish adventure server.  It is taking us forever since we are build the terrain also for a 5000 by 5000 flat map.  Should be done by mid December.

Nice! I see the adventure server is up. I haven't been very active lately, sorry about that, but I can make some skins for the server if you'd like. NPCs are a pretty popular thing right now, and I've seen alot on other adventure maps. But if you don't want that, I'd be happy to do some skinning for you.
Ex: Recruit with tan shirt, and ACU pants.

What I really need are skins for mobs, suicide bombers for creepers, terrorist for skeletons, and so on.  We are growing huge and about to pass 30,000 unique players in just over four months.
