Installation
please don't use the Technic Launcher


Installing using the Pixelmon Launcher (Recommended but PC only):


1. Download the Pixelmon Launcher from this link.



2. Open the file and install the Pixelmon Launcher using the default settings.


3. Click create new profile.


4. Choose Pixelmon 4.1.1 and Forge 11.14.3.1542 Just like the picture below.





5. If you want optifine, download the latest version for Minecraft 1.8.0 at this link, then drag and drop it onto the profile window or select it using the browse for mods button.


6. Click save on the bottom left and then the big round button on the top right to let it finish downloading the rest.


7.  The server address is pixel.minecraftandchill.com.


note: if you want to allocate more ram to minecraft which is suggested click the gear icon on the top right of the launcher.  Slide the max memory bar to the right.  It is suggested to use at least 2048mb of ram.






Installing Forge:


1. Download The Forge Installer usingthe link above


2. Make sure to download Minecraft and run the version you are installing forge for at least once!


3. Run the Forge Installer and select install client form the options.


4. After it finishes, open up Minecraft and select the profile "Forge." You may rename it if you want to.




Installing Pixelmon:


1. Pixelmon conflicts with some other mods, please get rid of other mods before installing Pixelmon


2. Download The Pixelmon Mod using the link above.


3. PC - Open up "Run" or In the start menu search bar, type %appdata%. Open the folder Named Roaming, Then open the .minecraft folder


3. MAC - Open up the "Finder," click "Go" from the top menu, select "Go To Folder" from the drop down menu. Type "~/Library/Application Support" and click "Go." From there, you should see the minecraft folder. Open it.


4. Drag/copy the Pixelmon jar file into the "mods" folder inside the minecraft folder. If there is no mods folder, create one, insert the Pixelmon jar, and close out.


5. Open up Minecraft and select the profile "Forge" click edit profile. Under Java Settings (Advanced), activate "JVM Arguments." Change where it says "-Xmx1G" to "-Xmx3G." This will allow minecraft to use 3 gigs of ram from your computer instead of 1 gig which is needed to run pixelmon.Many users will need to have Java SE installed for this change to work. Click "Save Profile."


6. Finally, click "Play." After Minecraft boots up and takes you to the main menu, it should say "4 mods loaded" in the bottom left corner. Click the "Multiplayer" button and then click "Add Server" Our IP is pixel.minecraftandchill.com. Connect to the server, and choose your first Pokemon! If it is extremely laggy and unable for you to play, you will need to download and install Java SE and repeat step 5.
