Aegis is a non-profit, free to play Minecraft server provider whose sole goal is to provide a well-designed and all in one place for your modified server needs. We strive for perfection in every possible meaning of the word. We’ve come a long way and don’t plan to leave anytime soon, so we hope we’ll come and join our server family. We currently offer a variety of servers; Aegis Tekkit PvP, Aegis Tekkit PvE, Aegis Anarchy, Aegis RPG, and Aegis Hack/Mine.

Hack/Mine

Hack/Mine adds a new aspect to the world through role-play. When u start you are given twelve different class choices (4 characters times 3 classes). The four characters are the stout, but strong Dwarf; the tiny, powerful Hafling; the normal, yet still unique Steve; or the tall and lean Elf. Then from there you can choose to fight with swords and maces, a bow and arrows, or a wand and magic. Challenge yourself in the many dungeons and towers throughout the land and level up to fight stronger and tougher enemies. Level up your five skills of strength, dexterity, intelligence, wisdom, and fortitude to make your character even more unique to your choices. So break spawners, raid chests, or get blown up by a roflaconda. Aegis Hack/Mine is here to deliver your Hack/Mine desires and will continue to improve as long as we exist.

Features

Here at Aegis Gaming we have assembled an outstanding team of coders and developers and many major names from the Minecraft community. Being as fortunate as we are to have such a collection of experience and intelligence, we are able to consistently update and fix bugs in Hack/Mine as well as having over 50 custom commands aiding in the protection of your gameplay and overall better experience in your adventures.

NagaPick

A new addition we have been working on over the course many weeks is the development of a Hack/Mine version of the incredibly famous Bukkit. We are proud to have been able to create, from scratch, our own incarnation of Bukkit especially built and compatible with Hack/Mine, NagaPick. With the addition of NagaPick we are able to create custom mods, install popular mods with ease, and run the server even smoother than ever possible before. We are always working to provide the best possible experience for our players, and we NagaPick we will be able to deliver a Hack/Mine server of the likes never seen ever before.

Last night we released our latest version of Hack/Mine after somewhat of a hiatus by most of our server staff, as real life can complicate things like this. But we are back with two major announcements. First, our crowning custom coded achievement, we have created and ported a 100% compatible version of Bukkit for Hack/Mine. This enables us to incorporate any Bukkit mod that we feel should be added to the server. Our second major announcement is a new developer on the Aegis Gaming Network Staff, The Hack/Mine genius himself: Frizzil. With this new partnership we are proud to be in collaboration with this amazing programmer and developer who has made gaming history.

With this last overhaul of the forum and the reset of all in-game stats, we are now officially reborn as Aegis Gaming. Vertigo is now in the past as we move forward into the future. We hope that all old Vertigo users will give the reset a chance to experience the Hack/Mine adventure again! Over the last few weeks you may have noticed the Vertigo Hack/Mine, and in all Vertigo to have been offline. Others may have known of the merger between us and the Terra Novos gaming network. As of today I am formally announcing the merge of these two franchises into the Aegis Gaming Network. The Hack/Mine has been reinstated and all former user's levels, inventories, and stats are transferred to this new server. We hope you will tell your friends and that all ex-Vertigo players will return! Thank You all for waiting and now back to some hacking, slashing and mining!

*Major Announcement*
A major bug has been identified that may fix nearly all lag on every Hack/Mine server. A bud was identified earlier today by the head programmer of Hack/Mine and we have implemented a fix on our server to mend this dire mistake. The issue at hand was a minor coding error that caused every player to send a packet to every other player when a mob received damage. This comes to nearly 1 million packets being send every minute with the average number of people on our server. This drains a massive amount of RAM and bandwidth to handle all the packets and with this fix we have high hopes for the future of the Hack/Mine community.

After many days of discussions, we at Vertigo Servers are proud to announce that we will in the next few weeks be merging into a new and larger (currently unnamed and we are taking suggestions) gaming network. This merger will not affect the status of any of our servers if anything it should improve due to the resources we will now be sharing. The servers we are currently merging with are Terra Novos, Forgotten Vault, and Axis-Mundi; all very notable and respectable Tekkit servers each with a unique flair to game-play. We have returned to a new focus on the Hack/Mine Server and have reached a momentous 4,000 page views, over 20,000 unique players, and average of 50 players nearly all day over the last two months. We have become unquestionably the largest Hack/Mine server in the world and hope to continue to attract more players to this still beta game-type. Thank you to all you loyal players.

As we approach the edge of 2,000 views of the Hack/Mine page, i would like to thank everyone for there support in our venture into this new Minecraft client. We have had innumerable positive feedback, even with the glitchy bugs. I appreciate all the hard work all of our staff has worked to accomplish this great feat, that just a month ago we could have never dreamed for. I hope that when our Tekkit server comes out in the next few days you will share your support for that server as well as the PvP. Its no secret that PvP needs support and we dearly need players on that server for it to continue, so please try it out and if you like tell people. The PvP was our first venture into server play and I would love ever so dearly if it became just half as successful as this one. Thank you everyone and i hope that this next month is even better than last.

New information coming in as Hack/Mine 0.6 is close to release. We already have a new spawn prepared for the map reset and new spawn protection is now in place to protect blocks in spawn.(Spawn can now be made of almost any material) We hope you are as excited as we are adn hope you stay with Vertigo.

The PvP Server page is now up. If you enjoy our hack/mine server try out our PvP server to help out our Vertigo Franchise. We are working on building up our PvP but also keeping up with custom plugins on our hack/mine. There is also a good possibility of a Tekkit server to come, if you want this to become a reality feel free to post so in the comments and share what you want to come from Vertigo to make your Minecraft experience the best. Go ahead and message me at anytime for any reason, spam me with comments!

in minecraft 1.4.5/1.4.6 it says what server version out of date/newer servers are, and this accordingly 1.3.1. The problem is there isnt a hack/mine client that's 1.3.1 i dont think, i mean i cant find it on google or on the technic launcher. just wondering im getting Unexpected error, end of stream and some others too, this may be the recent problem

I keep getting a Internal exception: java.netSocketTimeoutException: Read timed out, Error or it sometimes says end of stream. I keep getting this when trying to go on another hack/mine server too i tried both just to see if it was the issue. But i can't join. Is there any way to fix this?

Mojang servers have been having some serious issues over the last couple weeks causing widespread blackouts in servers, due to the fact that people cannot log onto the servers. These issues are beyond our control, so we are waiting to see what the issue is and when it will be permanently resolved.

All end of streams recently were caused by issues experienced by Mojang. There have been many login issues as their login system has been down quite often in the last week and a half.

When loading the Technic Launcher select the Hack/Mine mod pack and before logging in select the options bottom. This will open up a new menu, in that menu select the Dev. Build 0.6 and when you login it should begin an auto-update.

That's likely an issue caused by the northeast. It may be dumb, but many stream connections are down because of the hurricane (a major disruption in the international web) so just bear with that until its fixed. And yes even if you're not in the east coast area you can still experience it.

i would like to report 2 ppl using poison at spawn  they spawn kill ppl with them and no one can evan leave spawn i have screenshots of them using the poison wands, for evidence. i don't know if i can  put the pic's in this but i can send them in a email so owner pls reply with your email and i can send you the pics.
