The goddess of Blood can control any kind of blood, her father conceived her to apply justice to the Earth below, it is her duty to keep the peace, to keep blood flowing through people's veins.
Akachi is a young Goddess and is not without flaws, she has a temper that can be uncontrollable, it is said that if you were to stare at her while she were in a rage, your blood would clot and run cold through your body until it slowly drains out through any orifices.
Although that news is terrifying, she can also be of a gentle nature, she accompanies her sister, the goddess of Death to warm those in their last moments, she takes blood from the undeserving and grants those to whom have lost, saving their lives and keeping a balance in the world.

Akachi can be seen in many forms, but the most common sighting of her is as a beautiful young girl, in clothing dipped in red, eyes as crimson as fresh blood and a ruby placed on her chest. There are many stories which say that she would take human form to lay with a human for the night, often because it is a great honour to have a deity share a bed, they offer their blood in return, this is why she is sometimes known as the Vampire Goddess.

Throughout the thousands of years, Akachi has had many lovers; however it is said that a Mage wielding the power of fire, captured her in her human form, but when he found out that she would not burn in the flames, he began to worship her, and from then on she warmed to him, and they fell in love, her first true love. Her Father was so distressed at this disgrace that one night when they slept together, he granted his daughter a new power, he sent whispers and his woe upon her, she woke in a rage and unleashed a new power... The phrase "You make my blood boil" is derived from this, as the Mage held her close, and in her rage she boiled his blood until the essence of fire and magic evaporated from his body, since then, when Akachi takes human form the sky is lit red, and occasionally a red mist will form.

Although some would say her sisters, are more worthy of worship, in times of desperation they turn to her, when blood has been spilled or when bloodshed is imminent.

In many wars, people have seen Akachi dancing in the battle field, she would often sink into a pool of blood and flow towards the side which will spill the most blood for her, often people send a prayer offering the blood of their enemies to her. To see her here is a sign of a good omen for the stronger side of the war.
