In reality, it's mostly just a bunch of simple rules that have evolved over time. Many skins these days have these rules, if one knows where to look - and that only comes with practice. I cover some of it in a tutorial I made over 2.5 years ago. I stutter a bit and get cut off at the very end, but in general, that's what this shading evolved from, and watching it won't do any harm. Linky. I've been meaning to make a newer one for a very long time, but give it a watch if you want.
How did you do that. Do you have that shading memorized??
