It's flipped because you're using 1.8 format, They changed it so the bottom of the head is different now.

It's not the case, I flipped it back so it should be correct, shows ok in mcskin3d preview, but wrong just in pmc

Update you MCSkin3D to 1.4, you're using one that doesn't support the new skinning format.  Don't worry I had to do it too :P
