A domovoi is an old Russian legend. It inhabits a house and executes either good (doing chores, keeping everything clean, ) or bad (misplace items, making clean things dirty, etc.) deeds.
"Household spirits of Slavic tradition. They are similar to Brownie in that they stay with one owner and do all the chores around their house."
