I haven’t created a skin in a few years. I recently dropped by PMC and saw the realistic 1.8+ skins being designed by Purrfectionist. Her work inspired me to apply my skinning style to the new templates.
I’m a big fan of Disney’s Gargoyles (http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Gargoyles) and have always wanted to create gargoyle skins but was limited by the symmetrical limbs and the lack of a second layer. Here is my take on the battle armor worn by villain David Xanatos. His armor has red wings and tail but I couldn’t pull it off with all the other red on the skin. Mutagenic wings and tail are probably better for maneuverability anyway ;) I’m considering skinning a few more characters from the series.

Sorry if you were a fan of the green wings and tail; I just couldn't stand not being truer to the original battle armor. A little session with GIMP helped me make the wings and tail reddish. I also revamped the underside of the head as well as the sides of body, legs, and arms.
