Sorry for the inactivity omg, I love you all so much bbs <33 i just lost a lot of motivation due to my last skin (I'll explain why in a moment but it's a salty rant so only read if you're interested in salt)
Lemme explain this skin first though. This is Ib. I have done this skin before, but i wanted to go back and redo it, I felt that it was time to, y'know. While remaking this skin, I realized exactly how much progress I've made over time. It's just so weird exactly how far I've come. To give you an idea, this is the old Ib.
If you have no idea what/who is Ib, I highly suggest you play the game (yes, it's free). You can also just watch lets plays or anything of the sorts. However, if you're like me, you're too lazy to do that, and that's ok, I gotchu. You can read a brief explanation right below! There's also a picture of Ib herself, so you understand what I used as a reference.
Anywho, now that I'm done basically advertising this game, I'm gonna rant for a bit. It has to do with shading and my last skin.
Thanks for stopping by! <3

Ib explanation, without spoilers!
Ib, pronounced in a way similar to eve, is a small girl, who's 9 years old when she and her parents go to an art gallery. When it takes a twisted turn, Ib finds herself alone in the gallery. Left to her own devices, Ib makes her way through the gallery, and eventually finds a few friends along the way. Things are almost never as they seem in this eerie puzzling atmosphere. This is an RPG horror game, that instead of outright scaring you, finds more darker and chilling ways to keep you glued to your seat, including a strong use of puzzles to progress through the game.

So hello yes hi
last time I made a skin, I was told that, of all things my skin wasn't shaded. That's fine, but saying that it wasn't shaded at all is a bit overblown. Telling someone to stop making bad skins just because their skins might be more monotone and not as contrasting isn't good advice. I can take criticism, but only constructive. Just calling my skin generic and not giving any ideas on how to shade better (which I'm gonna go on about how I dislike that term with a passion in a moment), isn't helpful. It's just criticism without with the constructive part.
Elaborating on what I said previously about "better shading", I definitely think you can improve with shading, but everyone still has their own style. Some have more monotone and settle shading, meanwhile some are much more brightly contrasted and so on and so forth. I tend to be more towards the monotone and settle, but that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate any brightly shaded things. I think it's just a matter of outlook, so maybe, instead of saying that somethings poorly shaded and not saying anything further, take a harder look, and then leave a comment, or even PM them on how to have better shading. This post is already so long im not gonna say anything else. But yes that's just my opinion and if I triggered someone then ok sorry but once again, it's my opinion.
