Li Xingke's life was an un-eventful one until at age 18 he tried to smuggle in medicine for one of the prisoners held in the Vermillion Forbidden City. However he was pardoned by the seven year old Empress Tianzi, who believed that killing a person for a good act was wrong. There he became fiercely loyal to the Empress and after hearing her wish to one day leave the Forbidden City, promised to one day, if she still wished to take her outside of the Forbidden City.
Using the life that Empress Tianzi had spared he began service to the Empress by enrolling in the Chinese Federation's military. There he worked his ways up the ranks until he reached the rank of Attendant to the High Eunuch Gao Hai. However once the Black Knights resurface and war comes to even his homeland the Chinese Federation, will he be able to keep his promise to the Empress?
