A lich is an undead sorcerer who had purposefully put himself in that state to obtain much greater power. A Lich will often use his superior intelligence and evil magic to control the hordes of the lesser undead, and can rise the dead as a necromancer can. A lich's soul is held in an item of their choosing (often a staff or crystal) called a "phylactery". They are entirely immortal until their phylactery is destroyed. Liches are usually either mostly decomposed or a complete skeleton. The way I've depicted him here, he is completely skeletal wearing a red cloak. I made this skin for the Mythological Creatures skin contest. It's a step away from all of the other cyclopes and minotaurs!
