The MAA [Mechanized Assault Android] Mark III better known to the citizens of the gang lands as "Cyber Assassin".
In 2062 the Nation's of Earth Unite under one world order amid the chaos of a series of natural disasters that have left the worldo s financial infrastructure in shambles. With the mass loss of jobs and homes among the citizenry the "Super Gangs" appeared. Entire cities were seized by these vicious gangs the world over, in a desperate attempt to regain lost land the "Union of Nations" contract TomoTech Inc. to create a soldier that could take on the job of entire platoons of soldiers. After 2 failed versions the MAA Mk III is born, with it the citizens of Earth can breathe a sigh of relief as one by one the Super Gangs future disappears.
I was greatly saddened I missed out on the Cyberpunk Skin contest. I'm a sci-fi geek who grew up reading books by the likes of William Gibson (Who incidentally coined the phrase "Cyberpunk") and Phillip K. Dick. So here is my very...very late entry for sh**s and giggles.
If like me, you enjoy a good cyberpunkie story my recommendations would be "Neuromancer" by William Gibson, a classic with re-read potential. The "Altered Carbon" series by Richard Morgan are amazing as well as the "Electric Church" series by Jeff Somers (the cover artwork is inked by Marvel Comics Jae Lee, illustrator of Steven Kings the Dark Tower series).
