Hey guys!
This is my entry for the Retro skin contest! The skin itself (obviously) draws inspiration from the Gameboy handheld console, but more specifically the very early ones!
With this skin I tried to emulate the Gameboy's style to give it that nostalgic feel to anyone that ever owned a Gameboy, by limiting myself to a monochromatic* green palette, using only 4 colours.
As for the skin itself, the body is composed of a Gameboy with a bit of decoration, whilst the limbs and head take heavy inspiration from tiled games, especially Mario Bros. (and my god was the 3D effect painful to do)!

For those not familiar with the first Gameboys, here are some reference pics just to show you how limited the colours were back in the days, before the infamous Gameboy colour and Gameboy SP came out! (I own none of the pictures shown below)



*'Mono' means one, or single, whilst 'Chroma' means colour
