I started off making this skin as one of the undead army soldiers from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. and as I went on it seemed to work more as an undead warrior. A lot of effort has gone into this.

I do it the complicated way, I don't use Gimp or any other programme to shade (though I should probably start). I bassically do it pixel by pixel. I find it's better to find the middle colour and lighten/darken it from there to create your different shades. It helps if you keep an idea of where a light sorce could be coming from. Parts that are more covered up obviously need to be shaded, and parts that stick out, lightened. It'll take you a few times to get the hang of it, but just keep trying and you'll soon probably start to develope your own routines for shading.

Yeah, the 2D preview kinda blends the layers together, and even more so for the pop reel. So I dont think people really see the whole picture from the pop reel. Regardless, thsnk you very much for checking it out.
