I WON! Thanks to everyone that upvoted the submission, and I'm very happy right now :) Thanks again everyone, wouldn't have got it without ya :D

Empty. Such a contradicting name considering these creatures are full of many things; grief, sorrow, pain, suffering, but most notable; the radioactive substance that courses through their every vein. Every single heartbeat bringing the liquid through the body burning away at the tissue as it finds its way through every nook and cranny of the being's body.

Sad thing is, they were people once; all having families and friends that cared for them, and vice versa. But then the bombs struck. Countries couldn't settle their difference, and the day came when nobody could stand anyone else. Bombs flew from their silos and flew through the sky; easily being mistaken for a plane.

They struck..

Humans slowly morphed into The Empty. Their acid-blood constantly etching away at their organs and flesh, while also being regenerated at a rate that keeps them barely alive. They no longer require food, they are nearly immortal. Immortality has always been thought as quite possibly the greatest gift a person could wish for. But when your body breaks apart around you all you could wish for is the gentle relief of death. Now the few remaining Empty roam the Earth hoping to find a way to end their miserable lives. And others simply sit still waiting for their inevitable death; hoping that stillness will numb the pain. Its such a sad thought to think..

We brought this upon ourselves.

Hope you enjoyed the little tale of The Empty, my entry in the Apocalypse Skin Contest! The skin took about an houyr to make, but I've been thinking up a story and drawing out ideas for this little guy over the course of the last couple days, while also working on my upcoming texture pack. So I put alot into this skin, and I'd really appreciate a diamond, or favorite. It'll help this skin get noticed, and help me win the contest! So thanks for the time, and hope you enjoy the skin :)
