“June 5^th


               Another boring start to another boring summer. I get the “privilege” to spend the month with Uncle Mortimer. All he does is sit around in his old beat up mansion, it may have been beautiful one day, but now it just sits there rotting in the thick dreary woods. He is half dead, and even when he was healthy he never liked me.


June 6^th


               I really love the 3 hour drive to his house. Really the best way to start off the day. He lives out in the middle of nowhere. The closest town to his beat up rotting pile of wood is nearly an hour away, no neighbors to speak of. No friends, no internet, no cell reception. This is going to be a boring month.


June 7^th


               God damn he is horrible. I avoid him for most of the day, but I have to sit with him at dinner. He seems a pale sickly green, and half skeletal. The only way he can move get around is having his one butler drag him around in a wheelchair older than this mansion, probably.


June 8^th


               Maybe this visit will not be that boring as I thought. When I was on my way back from the bathroom I noticed an indent in the wallpaper. I tried feeling it and it gave out a hiss, the folded back and revealed a room. I went and got a flashlight and explored around. It was dusty and covered in cobweb. It seems to be an old library. I will explore more tomorrow.


June 9^th


               These books are creepy as all nether. They seem to be about some cult. The basics seem to be about self-sacrifice. Not full out ending your life, but slowly draining it out; leaving you drained and withering away. The terrifying thing is, the drawings of the effects look like uncle. Even worse, I found the robes depicted in the book in uncles house. I need to get away from this nether hole.”


Mortimer closed the book. He then turned to his butler and said “He knows too much”


And the butlers only response from the butler was, a nod.
