New Realism texture pack for Minecraft 1.5

This is a 16x16 texture pack to use as an alternative to the default textures. All work that was done on this pack, I did with the purpose of making minecraft look better, without increasing the resolution.

101st diamond! I guess I'm a dalmatian now. I just wanted to say that this texture pack is wonderful! It's a vast improvement over the default texture(honestly, these days I can't stand it at all) but it still feels just like the default! I've looked at several 'better default' textures and they just don't do it for me. This is a great pack. Absolutely downloading for those times that I want to see a map the way the maker did and when I'm feeling nostalgic. You did just the best job. And the Sword of Omens?? The WoW icons? You just stole my little nerd heart. STOLE IT. I shall never love again. (I don't think I mind)

Haha, yep, as a child of the 80's I couldn't help but put the Sword of Omens in when I realized a has a reasonable likeness at 16x resolution. Also, the diamond sword is the Ultimate Weapon from FF7. Thanks for that 101st diamond, and for the awesome comments!

May I ask what software you use to edit the textures? And, if you use a template pack, may you send me a link? Maybe even help me out by recording tutorials on how to edit blocks and mobs, etc. Dude, another great work of art. Thanks!

I use Photoshop, I've never used a template. I started all these more than a year ago, and I've just added to them as things have been added into the game. The oldest one, Shining Force, I was working on in Beta 1.4.

If you need any tips or help, I'm sure I can help out where I am able. I've considered doing a tutorial for all of this on my YouTube channel. I've just been taking a break from the channel lately.

i like how it was in the old new realism darker and not with those bright red lines in it so how it was in 1.4.7

I've been working on it a long time to be better than default minecraft textures and hopefully good enough for people who really like to use higher resolution texture packs but can't or don't want to run their computer that hard.

If you mean the monster heads, that part I've really only included the ones that are default to Minecraft. If it's important I can make a note of it that they need to be customized. Thanks for the download, diamond and comment!

Seems like is missing the Ender Chest texture too. In this and in Dark Realism.
A little favor: can you send me the texture packs for MC1.2.5? I want to test them with Redpower (it is not updated yet to MC1.3.2)

Yes, they are missing some textures still, haven't updated for a while now. They should be working fine with the version of RedPower you are talking about, if not you can let me know what is off with it. Then I can probably send you a link for a 1.2.5 version of the texture pack, but it shouldn't be much different than this one here. Thanks for the comment and DIAMOND!

Is this 1.3.1? because i am using it and i am wondering if this update adds the tripwire and the new cocoa and emerald block? but this is the only texture paxk i have ever used so every one use it.!!!!!!!

Thank you so much, my friend. Yes, I put out the most recent update just before 1.3.1 came out. I still need to fix the details so that it has the correct version number, but New Realism, Dark Realism, Chrono Trigger 1000AD & 2300AD all have the trip wire and cocoa graphics. Hey i was looking throught the files becase i like to texture my own but i noticed that the allitems.png under gui is the old one you need the new tab one. also the villager gui is off too but sorry if you already knew this but good work i love this texturepack. thanks for reading and i also watch your youtube vids. -17jensenh

I'm in the process of moving, so I may be somewhat slow on getting videos out for a while, but I will try to keep my channel going. I've been doing 16x for six texture packs now, but I'm finally coming around to considering doing a 32x texture pack. However, I can't say when I will start one, OR how long it will actually take me because I''ve not done one before. In answer to your question, yes. If I do make one I will pm you and you will be one of the first to know about it.
